After months of speculation, Anirudh Ravichander and Kavya Maran’s reported wedding is beginning to take shape, with a destination celebration rumoured to be on the cards and a Chennai reception date now emerging from an official announcement. The composer behind the soundtracks of ‘Jawan’ and ‘Jailer’ and the Sunrisers Hyderabad CEO and Sun Group heiress are reportedly set to marry in November. While Greece has entered the conversation as a possible wedding destination, the couple have yet to confirm the details themselves.
With the reception date now public, attention has shifted to the ceremony itself, the destination and the prominent names who may be part of the celebrations.

On October 16, the Telangana Chief Minister’s Office shared on X that Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran and his wife, Kavery Maran, had met Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his Jubilee Hills residence to personally invite him to the couple’s wedding reception. The post identified November 21 as the reception date, offering the clearest indication yet of the celebrations being planned.
The announcement also puts earlier online speculation about a November 14 reception into perspective. For now, November 21 is the date to watch, although further details about the event have not been publicly confirmed by the couple.

While Chennai is expected to host the reception, the wedding ceremony itself could take place overseas. Telugu360 has reported that the couple are planning to exchange vows abroad, fuelling speculation about a Greece wedding. Reports have also pointed to November 11 as a possible wedding date, following earlier speculation about a November 10 celebration after Diwali.
Neither Greece nor a specific island, resort or venue has been confirmed. Until the couple or their representatives share further details, the destination remains speculation rather than an established wedding plan.

The reported guest list has added another layer of intrigue. Telugu360 has named actor Vijay and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin among those who could attend. However, these reports remain unverified, and an official guest list has not been released.

Speculation about Anirudh and Kavya’s relationship has circulated since 2025, including online discussions about their personal lives. Anirudh previously dismissed the marriage rumours on X with the light-hearted response, “Marriage ah? lol .. Chill out guys.”
The conversation gathered momentum again after his uncle, veteran actor and theatre personality Y Gee Mahendra, spoke about the couple’s reported plans to marry. The latest developments have brought renewed attention to the relationship, although neither Anirudh nor Kavya has publicly confirmed the wedding details.

The two also share a professional connection through the Maran family’s film production business. Sun Pictures backed ‘Jailer’, the 2023 Rajinikanth-starrer directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, which reportedly grossed Rs 650 crore worldwide. Anirudh composed the film’s music, and the production house later gifted him a Porsche in recognition of its success. He returned as composer for ‘Jailer 2’, reuniting with Rajinikanth and Nelson.

As the reported wedding draws closer, the interest lies as much in the coming together of two influential South Indian families as in the celebrations themselves. Until Anirudh and Kavya share their plans, the details remain closely guarded, leaving the anticipation around their November wedding to build.
