Oscars 2026: Full List of Winners At The 98th Academy Awards

The 98th Academy Awards had One Battle After Another emerging as the night’s biggest winner, taking home Best Picture and six Oscars, while Ryan Coogler’s Sinners had a record 16 nominations. Here’s the complete list of winners across all categories

As the curtain rises on the 98th Academy Awards, the awards season reaches its stellar finale with one of the most unpredictable Oscar races in recent years. Months of precursors including the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards, guild honours and BAFTAs created a fiercely competitive ground where no single film dominated the season.

Throughout the season, One Battle After Another and Sinners emerged as the two dominant contenders. The political thriller One Battle After Another secured six awards on the night, while Depression-era horror drama Sinners followed with four. Further, Ryan Coogler’s Sinners entered the Oscars with a historic 16 nominations, the highest ever for a single film, surpassing the previous record of 14 held by All About Eve, Titanic and La La Land. Close behind was Paul Thomas Anderson’s sweeping political drama One Battle After Another with 13 Oscar nominations, after strong performances across critics’ and guild awards.

Among the night’s biggest acting honours, Michael B. Jordan took the Best Actor award for his dual portrayal of Smoke and Stack in Sinners, marking his first Academy Award win after receiving his first nomination this year. In Best Actress, Jessie Buckley won for her powerful performance as Agnes, William Shakespeare’s partner, in Hamnet. The victory made Buckley the first Irishwoman to win the Best Actress Oscar, capping a dominant awards-season run.
