A morning swim, a walk through the landscape, lunch in the sun and dinner after dark can all happen on the same Aman holiday. Dressing for it calls for clothes that can keep pace without making the suitcase feel overpacked. Kim Jones’ first collection for Aman Essentials takes that idea and turns it into a considered holiday wardrobe.
Launched recently in partnership with Dover Street Market, the capsule is shaped by Jones’ own travels to Aman destinations. The collection is mostly unisex and modular, bringing together pieces that can move between the pool, the trail, wellness sessions and the dinner table.

Designed to move from sunlit mornings to evening repose, the collection brings utilitarian daywear together with elevated jersey, relaxed knitwear, lightweight swimwear, activewear and silk separates. The pieces are designed to be layered and worn in different combinations, making the wardrobe feel versatile without losing its polished edge.
“I wanted to do a collection that fits in with the lifestyle of Aman,” Jones said in a news release. “I love the adventures that you can go on at the properties, especially the ones when you’re out in the wilderness and you can discover new cultures, animals and other amazing things,” Jones added.

That sense of movement comes through in the fabrics and silhouettes. Light constructions and tactile textures keep the clothes comfortable, while relaxed tailoring gives the collection enough polish for the more dressed-up parts of the day.

The Abaca Utility Vest and Utility Trouser bring a practical edge to the collection, while the technical Windcheater and Active Shirt are suited to days spent exploring. The Beach Polo and Knit T-Shirt offer easier options for slower hours, alongside swimwear and activewear designed to move between the water, wellness spaces and the outdoors.
Evening brings a softer shift. The Draped Silk Resort Dress, Silk Pyjama Set and relaxed separates introduce silk and fluid silhouettes without making resort dressing feel overly formal. They are the kind of pieces that can work for a quiet dinner, a late drink or an evening spent simply taking in the surroundings.

The palette takes its cues from the landscapes surrounding Aman properties, moving through earthy greens, mineral tones and deep ocean blues, with flashes of vibrant yellow and rich berry red. The result feels connected to nature without being tied to a single destination.
Rather than relying on overtly tropical prints or traditional holiday dressing, Jones uses colour, texture and proportion to create a wardrobe that can travel across different settings. A utility piece can work in a more rugged landscape, while silk and knitwear lend themselves to slower afternoons and evenings.
“Kim Jones shares this instinctive appreciation for thoughtful design, making him a natural partner for Aman Essentials’ first major design collaboration,” stated Kristina Romanova, CEO of Aman Essentials in the news release. She described the collection as “the beginning of a new chapter”.

Jones brings considerable fashion pedigree to the project, having held creative leadership roles at Louis Vuitton, Dior Men and Fendi before establishing his London-based Kim Jones Studio. Yet this collection is less about putting a designer stamp on Aman and more about translating the way its guests move through its destinations into clothes.

Aman began extending its world beyond its hotels with skincare in 2018, later moving into fragrance and ready-to-wear. The Kim Jones collaboration takes that evolution further, bringing a designer perspective to the practicalities of a modern luxury holiday.
