After a lot of speculation, the dream for Shakira fans has come true. Global pop music sensation Shakira is coming to India with performances lined up in Mumbai and Delhi in April, this year. The Grammy-winning artist will take the stage in Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse on April 10, followed by a show at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on April 15, as part of District by Zomato’s Feeding India Concert, supported by HSBC.

The upcoming concerts mark her first major appearance in the country in nearly 20 years, after her 2007 Mumbai act during the Oral Fixation tour. Sharing her excitement, the Hips Don’t Lie star reportedly said in a statement, “Performing in India has always been special to me, and I’m excited to connect with my fans across Mumbai and Delhi.”

The pop star also noted that being part of the initiative led by Feeding India and District by Zomato is “about standing together to ensure every child has access to the nutrition they need to thrive.”
With more than 100 million records sold globally, Shakira remains one of the most successful Latin artists of all time and has twice earned recognition as Top Female Latin Artist of the Decade by Billboard. Celebrated for global hits such as “Waka Waka,” “Whenever, Wherever,” and “Beautiful Liar,” her recent Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour set a Guinness World Record as the highest-grossing tour ever by a Latin artist.

Her India visit also reflects the country’s growing prominence in the global live music circuit, following recent announcements from artists like Ye.

Beyond music, Shakira continues her philanthropic work through the Barefoot Foundation. The concerts will also mark the first time Feeding India’s music-led initiative expands into multiple cities, after previously hosting global acts like Dua Lipa in 2024 and Post Malone in 2022. Rahul Ganjo, CEO of District by Zomato, stated, “Music has the unique power to unite people across boundaries, and we’re leveraging that to drive meaningful conversations that can transform lives.”
Shakira’s India concert tickets will be available exclusively on District, with HSBC credit cardholders receiving 48-hour early access from 12 PM IST on February 27 until 12 PM IST on March 1. General sales will open at 1 PM IST on March 1.
