Post months of anticipation, fans of Shakira finally have reason to celebrate. The Latin pop star is set to perform in India this April, with concerts scheduled in Mumbai and Delhi. The Grammy-winning artist will perform at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse on April 10, before heading to Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for a performance on April 15. These shows are part of District by Zomato’s Feeding India Concert, supported by HSBC.

The upcoming acts will mark her first major appearance in India in 19 years, following her 2007 Mumbai show during the Oral Fixation tour. Sharing about her excitement, the Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker reportedly said in a statement, “Performing in India has always been special to me, and I’m excited to connect with my fans across Mumbai and Delhi.”

The concerts also reflect the global pop icon’s involvement with the philanthropic initiative spearheaded by Feeding India and District by Zomato. Speaking about the cause, she shared that this collaboration is “about standing together to ensure every child has access to the nutrition they need to thrive.” Her upcoming India concerts, along with the ones hosted previously for international artistes such as Linkin Park, Travis Scott, and Pitbull, underscore the country’s rising influence as a key destination for concert tourism.
With over 100 million records sold worldwide, Shakira is one of the most accomplished Latin artists globally. She has twice been named Billboard’s Top Female Latin Artist of the Decade. Known for chart-topping numbers such as Waka Waka, Hips Don’t Lie, Whenever, Wherever, and Beautiful Liar, her recent Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour achieved a Guinness World Record for becoming the highest-grossing tour ever by any Latin artist.

Beyond her musical achievements, Shakira remains deeply associated with philanthropic activities through her Barefoot Foundation. These concerts will also mark the first time Feeding India’s music-driven platform expands into a multi-city format, after previously featuring international stars such as Dua Lipa in 2024 and Post Malone in 2022.

Rahul Ganjo, CEO of District by Zomato, said, “Music has the unique power to unite people across boundaries, and we’re leveraging that to drive meaningful conversations that can transform lives.”
