For the occasion, Nora Fatehi wore the Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights, a timepiece that perfectly captures Jacob & Co.’s philosophy of turning mechanical engineering into visual theatre. The Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights arrives in a 44mm case crafted from stainless steel, bringing together bold proportions with the refined elegance that defines Jacob & Co.’s design language.

The pebble shaped case immediately sets the tone, offering a contemporary silhouette that feels both sculptural and unmistakably luxurious. The bezel is fully pavé set with 281 round white diamonds, weighing approximately 10.66ct, creating a brilliant frame around the watch while allowing light to move across every surface. The diamond treatment continues onto the crown, which is set with 30 diamonds weighing approximately 0.47ct, adding another layer of jewellery like refinement to the timepiece.

At the centre sits the green mineral crystal dial, revealing the intricate world beneath through an open worked skeleton construction. Rather than concealing the mechanics, the watch places the movement on display, transforming every component into part of the visual experience. The anthracite skeleton movement features rhodium plated gears, angled bridges with sand blasted finishing and angled steel elements with drawn finishing, highlighting the level of detail involved in its creation. Completing the dial are elegant leaf shaped hands, offering a delicate contrast against the architectural complexity of the skeletonised design while ensuring clear readability of the hours and minutes.

Powering the Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights is the exclusive Jacob & Co. Skeleton Manual Winding Caliber JCAM01, a mechanical movement designed to showcase both technical precision and artistic finishing. The calibre features 21 jewels and provides a power reserve of 46 hours, allowing the wearer to experience the beauty of traditional hand wound watchmaking. Every movement detail is carefully exposed, making the mechanics themselves the centrepiece of the design.

Turning the watch over reveals an engraved caseback that continues the attention to detail seen throughout the piece. The finishing and construction allow the wearer to appreciate the craftsmanship from every angle, reinforcing the idea that this is not just a watch but a complete work of mechanical art.

The timepiece is completed with a satin strap paired with a stainless steel tang buckle, which is also diamond set with 42 round white diamonds weighing approximately 0.54ct. With a total of 323 round white diamonds adding up to approximately 11.2ct, the Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights perfectly captures Jacob & Co.’s ability to merge high jewellery brilliance with the fascinating world of haute horlogerie.
