A mechanical timepiece that turns digital ownership into something you can wear, experience and interact with, discover how Jacob & Co. Epic X GoMining combines luxury watchmaking, blockchain technology and real Bitcoin mining

For centuries, luxury watches have been about precision, craftsmanship and the mastery of mechanical movement. But the latest chapter of haute horlogerie is no longer only about what happens inside the case. It is about what the watch can connect to beyond the wrist. The Jacob & Co. Epic X GoMining enters this new territory by combining two worlds that rarely share the same stage: traditional Swiss-inspired watchmaking and the digital economy of Bitcoin mining.

Created in partnership with GoMining, the limited edition timepiece

Created in partnership with GoMining, the limited edition timepiece does not simply carry a cryptocurrency-inspired design. It actually connects to real mining power, creating a physical object linked to a functioning digital asset ecosystem. Limited to only 100 pieces, the Epic X GoMining represents a different idea of luxury, where ownership is not only about possessing a rare object but also about accessing a digital experience.

The Epic X GoMining is built around a 44mm black DLC titanium case, combining lightweight strength with a futuristic appearance. Titanium has long been favoured in high-performance industries because it offers exceptional durability without unnecessary weight. The black DLC coating adds another layer of resistance while giving the watch its dark, technical personality.

The signature X-shaped architecture runs through the case design

The signature X-shaped architecture runs through the case design, extending from the lugs into the movement structure itself. It is one of the most recognisable elements of Jacob & Co.’s Epic X collection, transforming the watch into something that looks closer to a piece of advanced engineering than a traditional timepiece.

The heart of the watch is a hand-wound skeleton movement where almost nothing is hidden. The openworked construction exposes the bridges, gears and mechanical components, while GoMining branding and Bitcoin-inspired patterns appear across the movement bridges. Rather than treating the cryptocurrency theme as a simple visual detail, the design integrates it directly into the mechanical landscape.

The movement becomes a display of transparency, reflecting the same philosophy associated

The movement becomes a display of transparency, reflecting the same philosophy associated with blockchain technology: visible systems, traceable actions and decentralised interaction. The defining feature of the Epic X GoMining is its digital connection. Each watch comes with a 1,000 TH digital miner integrated into the owner’s GoMining account. This means the owner receives access to actual Bitcoin mining capacity, with rewards credited automatically to their digital wallet.

Instead of cryptocurrency remaining an invisible number on a screen

Instead of cryptocurrency remaining an invisible number on a screen, the watch creates a physical bridge between mechanical craftsmanship and digital ownership. The miner becomes part of the ownership experience, extending beyond the traditional idea of collecting. Only 100 examples of the Epic X GoMining will exist, making rarity a central part of its appeal. Limited edition watches have historically attracted collectors because scarcity creates competition. When production numbers are extremely restricted, availability becomes part of the value. But this piece adds another layer. It is not only limited by manufacturing numbers but also by its unique combination of watchmaking and digital functionality.
