Independent watchmaker Raymond Weil will return to showcasing at Watches & Wonders, this year with two new creations in their signature Freelancer collection—a salute to their spirit of independence. Since its launch in 2007, this emblematic collection has drawn inspiration from the entrepreneurial vision of the founder, Mr Raymond Weil—pushing the boundaries with their creativity and fine watchmaking know-how. With its assertive designs, innovative features, and cutting-edge materials, the Freelancer quickly established itself as the brand’s flagship line, captivating both watch enthusiasts and those who appreciate contemporary elegance worldwide.

The Complete Calendar

Raymond Weil introduces its first Complete Calendar in the Freelancer collection. The mechanism displays date, month, day, and moon phases within a redesigned 40mm case featuring integrated correctors. A new milestone for the collection, it combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.

Available in two references, 2766-PC5-64001 and 2766-ST-50001, this timepiece strikes the perfect balance between technical precision and refinement. The harmonious arrangement of the day, date, month, and moon phase is perfectly orchestrated on a sandblasted dune or deep blue dial, creating a delicate interplay of light and texture. Every detail reflects the brand’s pursuit of excellence, where mechanical precision and timeless elegance come together as one.

The contemporary 40mm case features balanced proportions and curved lugs for optimal wrist comfort. Polished and brushed finishes, along with a subtly redesigned bezel, catch light from every angle to enhance its refined aesthetic. Discreetly integrated correctors maintain the clean lines while ensuring ease of use.

The RW1212 Skeleton

The RW1212 calibre, developed in-house and a cornerstone of the Freelancer collection, appears in a new cushion case design limited to 500 pieces. The distinctive shape adds fresh design and engineering dimensions to this signature movement. The brand’s R&D department meticulously reimagined each component to highlight the balance wheel at six o’clock, elevating the beauty of the horological mechanics through an openworked traversing bridge. The result is a movement of striking depth, where architectural sophistication meets mechanical ingenuity.

The stainless steel case is water-resistant to 100m, and features a black PVD coating and pairs with a black galvanic openworked dial. Complemented by a black leather strap, this edition leans decisively toward a contemporary and sporty aesthetic.
