This morning, legendary actor Dharmendra’s fans woke up with the shocking news of his death which was soon flagged as fake news. The 89-year-old actor was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital earlier this week, sparking concern among his fans across the country. However, reassuring updates from his family have since brought relief. On Tuesday morning, his daughter Esha Deol shared a message on social media confirming that her father is “stable and recovering well.”
Amid swirling rumours about the actor’s condition, a representative for Sunny Deol dismissed speculation that the Sholay star had been placed on a ventilator. “Mr. Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Please refrain from spreading misinformation regarding his health. We request everyone to respect the family’s privacy and keep him in their prayers for a speedy recovery,” the spokesperson said in an official statement.

On Monday, several family members, including his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol and Bobby’s wife Tanya, were seen visiting the hospital. Many of Dharmendra’s colleagues and well-wishers from the film fraternity including Salman Khan, Govinda, Shah Rukh Khan, and Ameesha Patel had also dropped in to check on the veteran actor’s health.
