Louis Vuitton is bringing its signature approach to tailoring to the world of football, giving Real Madrid’s players a wardrobe that carries the house’s craftsmanship beyond the pitch. Now in its second year, the partnership has introduced an updated collection of formalwear and travel clothing for the 2026–2027 season, combining precise cuts, personalised details and the French luxury house’s distinctive design codes.

Designed by the Louis Vuitton Men’s Studio under the creative direction of Pharrell Williams, the latest collection draws inspiration from the house’s Trunk collection, translating its heritage into a contemporary wardrobe for athletes. The collaboration covers Real Madrid’s men’s and women’s football teams, as well as its men’s basketball team and club representatives. According to the house, the emphasis is on refined materials, tailoring expertise and details that extend the athletes’ personal style beyond sport.

Wardrobe Beyond the Pitch

The formalwear retains the tailored suit introduced in the first season, with a blue shirt featuring fine white stripes and a beige polo offering alternative styling options. A cashmere coat from Louis Vuitton’s permanent collection adds another layer, accompanied by a removable Monogram scarf fastened to the collar. The coat features an embroidered Real Madrid crest, a contrasting embossed leather Louis Vuitton signature and a personalised interior label carrying the player’s initials.

These details distinguish the collection from standard team travel uniforms. Rather than relying on prominent branding alone, Louis Vuitton luxury tailoring for Real Madrid brings together considered proportions, material choices and individual identifiers. The wardrobe is designed for official appearances and travel, where designer suits for football players become an extension of the club’s identity.

The approach also reflects a wider interest in how professional athletes dress outside competition. Real Madrid players’ fashion choices have become part of the club’s public image, and coordinated luxury outfits offer a way to connect sporting prestige with the language of high fashion.

Personalisation In Every Detail

The updated Formal Travel collection introduces a reversible nylon jacket with an all-over Monogram lining, allowing it to be worn in two ways. An embossed leather signature on the pocket and an embroidered club crest at the front bring the two identities together. A navy sweater with a contrasting leather Vuitton signature, a beige polo and a reversible belt combining leather with Monogram canvas extend the collection’s mix of function and house signatures.

Personalisation remains central to the accessories. The cashmere coat carries each player’s initials, while selected leather goods draw on the house’s Mon Monogram customisation service. The designs also connect with Louis Vuitton’s Trunk heritage, a tradition rooted in travel and craftsmanship that continues to inform its contemporary menswear.

The new collection coincides with the 130th anniversary of the Louis Vuitton Monogram, celebrated through personalised leather goods. The second year of the partnership reportedly builds on existing designs while introducing fresh pieces for the season.
