Every year, in January, North America’s largest standards and technology trade organisation, Consumer Technology Association (CTA), hosts the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). It has become the world’s foremost exhibition and trade show showcasing the latest technological developments. Everything from new ready-to-launch products, prototypes and even concepts are released here. CES has single-handedly become the platform to learn about the coolest and best gadgets out there.

CES 2025 saw over 141,000 attendees from around the globe and more than 4500 exhibitors, including 1400 startups. Some of the biggest newsmakers at the show included NVIDIA, which launched GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards and Project Digits, a device that can run up to 200-billion-parameter LLMs without cloud infrastructure. Samsung partnered with Google to reveal Audio Eclipsa, an audio tech that is slated to be a rival to the universally recognised Dolby Atmos. As expected, it was also a big year for Artificial Intelligence at CES 2025, with a dedicated AI House at the exhibition. From bionic hands and glucose monitoring to coding and automation, AI is ready to become the foundation of enterprises in the future.

Roborock’s Saros highlight was Saros Z70 which features an OmniGrip, the first-of-its-kind mass-produced foldable robotic arm with five-axis, designed to deploy itself for cleaning previously obstructed areas and handling small items such as socks, small towels, tissue papers, and sandals under 300gm. Equipped with advanced navigation, vacuuming, and mopping capabilities, the AI-powered device can be customised, via an app, to suit the requirements of a home.

The Lockly Styla Designer Handlebar Video Smart Lock’s sophisticated design and comprehensive security suite make it a standout in the smart lock market, appealing to homeowners who value both aesthetics and robust security feature.

The Australian company has created a turntable with ahigh-quality Audio-Technica cartridge (AT-3600) that has a built-in speaker and a built-in pre-amplifier. The whole unit includes an integrated four-speaker system that delivers an80-watt sound and Bluetooth 5.0 reception, which allows you to stream music wirelessly.

It was the Anker Solix Solar Beach Umbrella that caught our attention as the first solar-powered umbrella. Even though phone battery lives are far superior than what they were almost a decade ago, battery anxiety is still real. To address this issue, Swippitt made its foray at CES 2025. It is an Instant Power System (IPS) designed to double the lifespan of your phone’s battery. The toaster-looking set-up has three components: A Swippitt Hub, a battery system with integrated speed-swapping technology; Swippitt Link, which is an ergonomically designed smartphone case with an integrated smart battery; and an app with access to battery stats, family safety, and location management.

Home entertainment systems are seeing an increase in home projector set ups over traditional television. This year, at CES. LG’s new concept model for projectors, LG PF600U won the CES Innovation Award. Inspired by a floor lamp, the projector is a showcase on best usage of space in modern city homes. It has a Bluetooth speaker and LED mood lamp, while the CineBeam S (model PU615U) has LG’s smallest-ever 4K Ultra Short Throw (UST) projector.

Apple users worldwide woe over the lack of plugins for external memory devices, presenting a unique niche for third-party tech companies to make the most of. One such company, Satechi, has created a setup that attaches to the state-of-the-art Mac Mini M4 to support up to 4TB and most SSD sizes with 10Gbps speeds. There are also USB-A ports for additional and peripheral devices. To avoid overheating the CPU and the hub, it comes with bottom vents to dissipate heat during heavy load. Do note that Satechi Mac Mini M4 Stand and Hub does not have USB Type-C ports, you will have to depend on the two available on the Mac Mini.

9. Baseus PrimeTrip VR2 Max Car Charger

Even though most modern cars come equipped with wireless charging, there is always a device or two running out of juice. Baseus’ car charger became the talk of the town at CES 2025 because of it smart design and retractable cables. The unit has two 31-inch USB Type-C cables as well as additional USB-C and USB-A ports; it connects to a vehicle’s auxiliary power outlet and delivers a total of 240W of power across all four ports and up to a maximum of 105W to a single port.

10. Mirumi

A feel-good furry robot companion that attaches to your shoulder or bag stole a bit of everyone’s heart at CES 2025. The clip-on robot was created by Yukai Engineering, a Japanese robotics company that is known for its ‘lifestyle’ robots. What does the robot do? Any time a person comes close, Mirumi will react to the presence. It will either look at you with big button-like eyes, be shy and hide its face, or angrily shake its head at you. Whether an AI pet or a fashion accessory, Mirumi offers a moment of joy to the person it engages with.
