Motorola India has collaborated with Swarovski, an Austrian company founded in 1895 by Daniel Swarovski, who developed a machine for cutting crystals with high precision to make them affordable, to showcase its new Swarovski crystal-studded versions of the Razr 60 foldable smartphone and Moto Buds Loop open-ear earbuds in the country. Both devices are from the Brilliant Collection and have a Pantone Ice Melt colour scheme. The collection was showcased at an intimate display at the Andaz Delhi by Hyatt. With the new Brilliant Collection, Motorola has positioned itself as a lifestyle technology brand that combines technology with modern and inventive design, particularly the usage of the Pantone colour ice melt and a vegan leather finish.

Pricing In India

The Swarovski Edition of the Motorola Razr 60 carries a price tag of ₹54,999. The Moto Buds LOOP Swarovski Edition will retail at ₹24,999, and have a 37 hours of battery endurance. For those seeking the complete glittering set, a special combo pack featuring both the smartphone and earbuds is being introduced at ₹64,999, which drops sto an effective ₹59,999 during the launch period.

In an interaction with Outlook Luxe, Shivam Rajan, Head, Marketing, Asia Pacific, Global Head, Motorola says, “I think it’s important for us to understand that Motorola has been positioning itself as a lifestyle tech brand and when it comes to lifestyle technology. So it’s something that requires not just technology, which is great from Motorola’s perspective, but also partnering with iconic brands in the lifestyle space to be able to give consumers that perfect fusion with design and innovation and style.”

Specifications And Features

The Brilliant Collection brings together standout products crafted with Swarovski brilliance. The Motorola Razr 60 Swarovski Edition, with 35 hand-set crystals on a 3D quilted leather-inspired finish, embodies luxury design. Motorola’s Swarovski Edition Razr 60 is more than just a fashion statement—it is a foldable packed with high-end engineering. The device sports a 17.53 cm (6.9-inch) Full HD+ pOLED display with a crisp 413 PPI resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front, framed in high-strength aluminium, and finished with a vegan leather rear in the icy ‘Ice Melt’ shade.

Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X processor paired with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB UFS 2.2 storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and fluid app performance. A 4,500 mAh battery with 33 W TurboPower charging keeps it running, while an IP48 water-resistant design, dual stereo speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos with spatial sound, and triple microphones enhance the everyday experience. Security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint reader and face unlock, while Google Assistant integration offers effortless voice control. Razr 6 has a  titanium-reinforced hinge which has been tested for over 500,000 folds, IP48 water and dust resistance. There is also a statement hinge crowned with a large Swarovski crystal, precision-cut with 26 radiant facets.

On the colour Pantone’s Ice Melt, Rajan says, “I think Pantone Ice Melt is a distinctive colour that complements the Swarovski crystals, and the Swarovski crystals complement it (the colour) very well.”

On the imaging front, the Razr 60 Swarovski Edition shines with a dual camera system that includes a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation and instant all-pixel focus, and a 13 MP ultra-wide and macro shooter with a 120-degree field of view. Photography features include Ultra HDR, Auto Night Vision, Portrait Mode, Gesture Selfie, Dual Capture, and an extensive suite of AI-powered editing tools like Magic Eraser, Portrait Blur, Sky editing, and Photo Unblur via Google Photos. Video recording reaches 4K UHD at 30 fps from the rear camera and up to 60 fps on the 32 MP Quad Pixel-enabled front cameras, alongside features such as Horizon Lock, Hyperlapse, Audio Zoom, and Slow Motion. Inside the box, buyers will find the handset, a 33 W charger, USB Type-C cable, SIM tool, ESG protective case, signature fragrance packaging, and guides. The moto buds Loop, on the other hand combines Swarovski’s brilliance with Motorola’s cutting-edge sound technology makes it not only wearable but also serving as a stylish statement. The Ice Melt earbuds include a lightweight, open-ear chassis that allows for secure, comfortable all-day wear while keeping users connected to their surroundings. Sound by Bose, 12mm ironless drivers, and Spatial Audio + EVO provide immersive, crystal-clear audio, while a dual-microphone system with CrystalTalk AI guarantees calls are as clear. Integrated moto AI and Smart Connect simplify device switching, playlist access, and personalised notifications. The buds provide IP54 water-repellent protection, enhanced memory alloy, and up to 37 hours of total playing time, with fast-charging capability for three hours of use in only ten minutes.

Rajan adds, “Technology has been core to Motorola, we understand consumer’s needs, and have been developing technology centric, innovation centric devices for multiple decades now. For example, if you look at the flip phone, now flip phones are traditionally not supposed to be the highest battery centric devices, but flip phones are devices that are used for consumers to create content, flip phones are devices that are used to be used as a lifestyle device across different parameters and hence what we have optimised in our devices.”

India is one of the most competitive smartphone markets and data shows that Motorola’s market share grew from 2.7% to 6% in India as per IDC with a 135.9% year-on-year growth. To this Rajan says, “It’s important for brands to differentiate through their positioning. In the Indian competitive industry as well, the differentiation that we are bringing in through design, fashion, modernity, bringing the latest trends of style, self expression, the ability for consumers to express themselves through style, through fashion, through design, that’s something that is helping us stand out from the rest.”

Known for its out-of-the-box ideas, Motorola has now started to explore partnerships in different domains take Pantone and Swarovski. Rajan tells us, “Technology, and innovation are part of our DNA, but we also believed strongly in partnerships to extend ourselves to consumers and to areas which are not core to Motorola, for example fashion, style, lifestyle.”

He adds, “Pantone has been helping us reach out to different aspects of consumers, different cohorts of consumers through our extremely engrossing colour story where you see a lot of our devices coming with different kinds of colours which you don’t see other brands bringing to the market so we are reaching out to consumers through that. Now with our partnership with Swarovski, we are bringing in absolutely something which consumers can define as jewellery. So, technology as a wearable piece of jewellery, I think that is something which Swarovski brings to the foray because of its expertise in developing these crystals.”
