India’s fashion calendar turns to the capital this October as Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI returns with a six-day programme of designer showcases, emerging talent and festive-season dressing. Scheduled from October 13 to 18, 2026, the event will take place at Taj Palace, New Delhi, bringing together established couturiers, independent labels and new voices shaping Indian fashion. The main runway programme begins on October 14, following the opening sustainability showcase on October 13.
With the festive and wedding seasons approaching, the October edition offers a glimpse into how designers are interpreting occasion wear, contemporary Indian dressing, craftsmanship and sustainability. The schedule also features international collaborations, beauty-led presentations and a grand finale by Amit Aggarwal, making it a date to watch for fashion enthusiasts and industry insiders alike.

The Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI 2026 dates are October 13 to 18, with the main runway shows scheduled from October 14 to 18 at Taj Palace, New Delhi. The opening day is dedicated to the R|Elan Circular Design Challenge, a platform that spotlights designers exploring more sustainable approaches to fashion.
The runway programme opens on October 14 with Péro, presented by Lakmé x Tira. October 15 brings emerging designers, the FDCI x Moscow Fashion Week exchange featuring Sergey Sysoev, Samant Chauhan and Suneet Varma’s SV label, alongside menswear label TASVA.

October 16 features a packed calendar of independent designers and collaborative showcases, including PRAMA by Pratima Pandey, Sanjukta Dutta, Anushree Reddy’s MAYA with Lakmé Salon, Arvind x Ashish N Soni, R|Elan x HUEMN and Namrata Joshipura, presented by OPPO.
On October 17, the programme includes Eccellenza, a showcase celebrating Italian artisans, alongside labels such as Aikeyah, FARAK, Guapa, Siddhartha Bansal and Countrymade. Manish Malhotra’s Luxury Pret Festive Edit, presented by NEXA, is another highlight of the day.
The closing day, October 18, features FDCI x Pearl Academy First Cut, NEXA The Spotlight, a showcase celebrating fashion from Ladakh titled The Fifth Season, and Ethnix by Raymond’s Wedding Stories. The week concludes with the grand finale, AM.IT by Amit Aggarwal, presented by House of Lakmé.

Several showcases stand out for the different perspectives they bring to the runway. Péro’s opening presentation offers a starting point for the week, while Samant Chauhan and Anushree Reddy’s MAYA bring their respective design sensibilities to the October calendar. Manish Malhotra’s Luxury Pret Festive Edit is also worth following as occasion wear takes centre stage ahead of the wedding season.
Namrata Joshipura’s work with embellishment and contemporary eveningwear offers a different take on dressing for celebrations. The R|Elan x HUEMN collaboration, meanwhile, brings together material innovation and a streetwear-led aesthetic, adding a contemporary dimension to the programme.
