Modern café trends are bringing together coffee, food and zero-proof cocktails across the day. At MIRA’S in Defence Colony, this comes together through its all-day menu and After Hours, a new zero-proof cocktail programme that extends into the evening.
Zero-proof cocktails are essentially alcohol-free drinks crafted to offer the flavour, complexity and presentation of a traditional cocktail. Available daily from 6 pm, ‘After Hours’ reimagines familiar cocktail formats without alcohol. MIRA’S Picante combines Seedlip with fresh cilantro, jalapeño and citrus, while a non-alcoholic espresso martini that lends a unique character to the beverage through espresso, vanilla and a creamy finish. A grapefruit-led Paloma, a toasted coconut and lime take on Rum and Cola and a botanical gin and tonic-style serve complete the menu.

Each serve is layered, expressive and designed with the same attention to detail associated with a full cocktail programme. For those choosing to skip alcohol or simply looking for something different, these non-alcoholic drinks offer an indulgent alternative.

Food remains central to MIRA’S identity, with a menu that moves through the day. Turkish poached eggs with labneh and paprika butter, acai and matcha yoghurt bowls with wild honey and berries, and avocado toast on sourdough with spiced honey make up the morning offering, alongside its Ember coffee.

By afternoon and evening, the menu shifts towards comforting plates designed for lingering. Burrata with sweet pepper jam, lamb kebabs with hummus, fresh salads, Neapolitan-style pizzas and house-ground burgers bring together the familiarity of comfort food with a more polished presentation.

At the heart of MIRA’S remains its bakehouse, which gives the café much of its warmth and sense of familiarity. Butter croissants, pain au chocolat, choux buns, fresh breads and cakes bring a nostalgic quality to the experience while complementing its more contemporary food and beverage offering.
The result is a café that changes character as the day progresses.

Mornings remain slow and comforting, afternoons are built around easy plates and coffee, while evenings now have their own rhythm, shaped by zero-proof cocktails and food meant to be enjoyed without hurry. It reflects wider cafe culture and modern hospitality trends around creating a more complete food and beverage experience.

With A’fter Hours’, MIRA’S brings together the elements at the heart of its all-day offering including food, coffee, a bakehouse and carefully curated drinks. Its zero-proof programme adds another dimension to the experience, showing how non-alcoholic options can feel considered and indulgent without making alcohol the focus of the evening.
