Salman Khan, or “Bhai Jaan” as his fans will forever call him, lives life in a way that matches the scale of his personality. He laughs loud, travels big, loves openly and owns luxury properties across the world. With an estimated net worth of Rs 2,900 crore, he is easily among the richest actors in India. But ask anyone who follows him closely, and they will tell you that none of his possessions come close to the one he loves most – a farm in Panvel where the grass is tall, the horses are restless, and snakes occasionally wander into bedrooms.

Welcome to Arpita Farms. Named after his sister Arpita Khan Sharma, the property sits in the calm surroundings of Panvel, a city in Navi Mumbai’s Raigad district. Spread across 150 acres and worth around Rs 80 crore, it is a peaceful getaway where he spends time with family, and is known for its design as much as for the natural surroundings that envelop it. From the outside, Panvel is just another town on Mumbai’s edge. Inside the gates of Arpita Farms, it feels like a heaven tucked inside a forest.
The luxurious pool area exudes a private resort vibe with elegant sun loungers, towering palm trees, and a tranquil Buddha sculpture that adds a calming charm to the scenic outdoor retreat. There is also a well-equipped private gym on the premises, which Salman uses seriously and regularly, continuing the fitness discipline he is known for. What ties the whole property together, though, is not the architecture or the amenities. It is the land. 150 acres of it, most of it green, much of it farmed.

This is the part that surprises people most about Salman Khan. He does not just own a farmhouse the way celebrities own farmhouses, like weekend retreats to pose in front of trees. He actually farms.

The estate has a large garden area where the actor grows fruits and vegetables. During the lockdown, he shared several videos of himself working on the farm, including clips of him driving a tractor and engaging in farming activities. The vast farming plots kept the family occupied during the COVID-19 lockdown, and what could have been a grim period of isolation became, at Arpita Farms, something closer to a slow, productive village retreat.
The sprawling farmhouse is surrounded by orchards featuring a variety of exotic fruits. Reports also suggest that Salman Khan maintains an animal shelter within the farmhouse property.
For all its size, Arpita Farms is fundamentally a family place. The Khan family, including his parents, brothers, sisters, and their children, often gather here to celebrate birthdays, Eid, and New Year. For Salman Khan, Arpita Farms is more than just a real estate investment. His Panvel farmhouse continues to be his ultimate escape.
