Young cricketer Arjun Tendulkar and entrepreneur Saaniya Chandhok tied the knot on March 5 in Mumbai’s The St. Regis Mumbai following a week of pre-wedding celebrations. The intimate ceremony was attended by close family and influential figures from the world of sports, politics and entertainment, such as Amitabh Bachchan, Sharukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Aamir Khan, MS Dhoni, Farhan Akhtar, Asha Bhonsle, amongst others. Arjun’s parents, Sachin Tendulkar and Anjali Tendulkar, blessed the couple as they embarked on their new chapter together. The pair had previously announced their engagement during a private family gathering in 2025.

The couple’s engagement on August 13, 2025, was a quiet affair held at the Ghai family residence in Mumbai, attended only by close relatives and friends. The news remained under wraps until Sachin Tendulkar later confirmed it during an online interaction on Reddit. Earlier this year, the families reunited in Jamnagar for a grand puja hosted by the Ambani family at the same venue where the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant were held.
Saaniya Chandhok stepped into the public spotlight after marrying Arjun Tendulkar, the son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. While the Tendulkar surname carries a legacy in Indian cricket, Chandok has built her own identity within Mumbai’s entrepreneurial circles.

Saaniya Chandhok comes from a prominent Mumbai-based business family. Her grandfather, Ravi Ghai, heads the Graviss Group, which owns the InterContinental Marine Drive, the legacy ice cream brand Kwality Ice Cream, and the dessert label Brooklyn Creamery. The group’s diversified hospitality and food businesses reported revenues of around ₹624 crore in FY 2023–24, reflecting roughly 20 per cent year-on-year growth.

Saaniya completed her higher education at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She graduated in 2020 with a degree in business management. She later pursued certification in veterinary and animal care services, showing her interest in the pet wellness industry.

Instead of joining the family’s hospitality business, Chandhok launched her own venture. In 2022, she founded Mr Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP, a Mumbai-based pet grooming and wellness brand where she serves as a designated partner. The company focuses on premium grooming and specialised care services for pets.
Arjun and Saaniya’s story started within Mumbai’s close-knit social circles. Their families had known each other for years, thanks to the long-standing bond between Ravi Ghai and Sachin Tendulkar.

While Arjun was building his career as an all-rounder with the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, Saaniya was simultaneously carving out her own entrepreneurial path. Their friendship grew through Arjun’s sister, Sara Tendulkar, who often invited Saaniya to Pilates classes, brunches, and vacations as her very close friend. Over time, what began as casual friendship gradually blossomed into love.

Saaniya is a year older than Arjun — a detail many fans have celebrated as refreshingly modern. At 26, the entrepreneur complements Arjun’s 25-year-old cricketing career with her own professional journey.
According to CNBC-TV18, Saaniya Chandhok’s estimated personal net worth is believed to be between $100,000 and $500,000, largely derived from her stake in her pet care venture.
