From haute couture to décor, Delhi sees a slew of luxury experience stores opening in Delhi
Delhi has seen some high-profile experience centre launch in the last few weeks, across decor, jewellery and fashion. Here are some of our favourite picks.
Following its successful presence with its largest flagship store in Asia, at MG Road in Gurugram, Lladro has launched a new store at The Chanakya, Delhi’s luxury mall, with the presence of the likes of Dior and Hermes.
Lladró is a Spanish luxury brand renowned for its exquisite porcelain décor items. It’s creations include sculptural art, high-end lighting, and home accessories. It has a strong presence worldwide, with Japan, the USA, Europe, India, and South Asia among its top markets. In India, it now has presence in Delhi, Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata. The store is designed with a distinct Mediterranean influence by world-renowned architect Hector Ruiz-Velazquez. A fun element at the launch had visitors customizing their Firefly Lladro lamps, where they could choose from a variety of porcelain pieces, to design the stem of their individual lamps. Currently available exclusively at The Chanakya boutique, eventually, the service will be extended to other boutiques in the country.
The Spanish Purebred – Haute École, a limited edition porcelain piece with only 500 copies worldwide took prominent position at the boutique. An art exhibit at the launch, which doubled up as a grazing table, was the focus of the launch. Themed “The Guest in the Urban Oasis – A Conscious Awakening” it focused on the themes of environmental consciousness, urban wilderness, and human identity. This immersive exhibition brought together Lladró’s Ephemeral Treasures, Crazy Jungle, You Choose One, The Guest, and Firefly lighting collection, creating a thought-provoking journey through porcelain artistry.
This year at Euroluce during Salone del Mobile, Milan, Lladró had unveiled CASCADE —a stunning new lighting collection created in collaboration with the acclaimed British designer Lee Broom. This marks Lee Broom’s first-ever brand collaboration, seamlessly blending his contemporary vision with Lladró’s unparalleled porcelain craftsmanship.
The collection features three distinct silhouettes of porcelain pendant lamps, all handcrafted at Lladró’s Valencia workshops. Another aspect that attracted Broom to paper lanterns was how they connected, usually hung horizontally across buildings or trees to form endless rows of light. Inspired by this idea, he designed shapes that can connect vertically in multiple configurations, allowing clients to create their own variations of cascading light compositions.
Studio Medium has its first brick and mortar store in the hallowed lanes of Dhanmill in Mehrauli, Delhi. Known for its engineered textile placements, resist-dyeing techniques, and innovative reinterpretation of traditional craftsmanship, the brand’s flagship store is an extension of its design-first philosophy. Located in Dhan Mill, a creative hub for contemporary brands, the store is designed to be a dynamic space for interaction, discovery, and collaboration. This is evident in the creations; sarees, garments, installations, and home objects, all of which feature engineered placements and innovative techniques. For years, Studio Medium has been redefining the language of textiles, surface manipulation, and handcrafted narratives. The decision to step into the world of physical retail stems from the brand’s desire to create a more immersive experience—one where customers can engage with Studio Medium’s vision in a tactile and meaningful way.

DIVANI unveiled its flagship store at Dhan Mill, Chattarpur, New Delhi and has conceived of a space where maximalism meets the romance of Hindostan. Designed by Zafar Choudhary, the store is a testament to the brand’s commitment to preserving Zardozi, extending its artistry beyond garments. At its heart lies a breathtaking ceiling, embroidered entirely in Zardozi, adorned with semi-precious stones and nine shimmering tones of gold thread—a true ode to this centuries-old craft.
Their latest collection, Nur, is a celebration of heritage—a testament to the enduring legacy of Indian craftsmanship and the artisans who keep its flame alive.
Techniques such as ‘Sitaara Mehraab’, ‘Naqshi Jhallar’, and the age-old ‘Farisha or Pharisheh’ highlight the mastery of zardozikaars from the North. Honoring the hands behind tradition, Nur includes special pieces crafted by women artisans through our crafts social responsibility initiative. A highlight of the collection, the Raja Ravi Varma series, created in collaboration with Lakshmi Vilas Palace, Baroda, draws inspiration from the Gaekwad dynasty, merging regal history with masterful craftsmanship.
