Now the glamorous event has given us one more moment to talk about with the reunion of Janet Jackson and her niece, Paris Jackson. The two shared a warm embrace outside the Tom Ford Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 show in Paris. Janet, 59, dressed in a short-sleeved leather top, a flowing satin skirt, and gold hoops met Paris, 27, who opted for a long-sleeved black maxi dress featuring a thigh-high slit, paired with bold rings and sleek patent heels.
In the pictures circulating on social media, Janet looked serene with her eyes closed and a smile on her face as she tenderly hugged Paris, the daughter of her brother and pop icon Michael Jackson. Paris is seen gently placing her arm on her aunt’s shoulder in a show of affection, and mutual respect.
The last time the two were photographed together was at Paris Fashion Week in 2022. At that time, Janet posted a candid shot on Instagram with the caption, “So catching up/ my niece @parisjackson.” Before that, public appearances of them together had been rare since Michael Jackson’s passing in 2009. It had sparked speculation about emotional distancing between the family members. However, Paris has since then, addressed such rumours, making it clear that while her family’s struggles and trauma exist, their bond remains intact.
She has also been open about setting boundaries to protect her family’s privacy. For instance, Paris chose not to participate in the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, even though she supports her brother Prince’s involvement. On the other front, Janet joined her brothers Jackie and Marlon Jackson at a Heritage Live festivals in Reading, England in July this year to celebrate the family’s enduring legacy. “Words can’t express how much your nephew and I enjoyed tonite,” Janet wrote of watching her brothers perform on stage.
