His latest addition marks new territory entirely: a nearly 19,000-square-foot waterfront mansion in Coral Gables, Florida, and his first publicly known foray into South Florida property. It is, by any measure, a serious statement of arrival in a market that has recently overtaken Beverly Hills as America’s most expensive residential community.
A Peninsula Built for a Superyacht
The estate sits at 41 Arvida Parkway, within the exclusive, gated Gables Estates enclave, on a 1.24-acre lot that occupies a distinctive V-shaped peninsula with water on three sides. That geography delivers an extraordinary 574 feet of private waterfront, framing the property with near-constant views of Biscayne Bay, the Miami skyline and Atlantic sunrises. The dock alone is built to accommodate a vessel up to 200 feet in length, which is not a detail most residential listings need to include, and it signals precisely the kind of buyer the property was designed to attract. The home was previously owned by Steven Lempera, the former president of Future Environmental, who purchased it at auction in 2019 for $25.5 million; the mansion itself was completed that same year.

His earlier real estate history includes a Hidden Hills property he sold to Madonna in 2021, and a Beverly West penthouse he sold for $19 million in 2023. It is a notably active portfolio for an artist who has, in the past, professed a certain detachment from the idea of a permanent home, having told Interview magazine that no house had ever truly felt like one to him, largely because so much of his career has unfolded on tour.
A New Benchmark for Coral Gables
Reported figures on the final closing price have varied, with some outlets citing the $54.9 million asking price, others $55 million, and Realtor.com reporting an exclusive closing figure of $50 million after Tesfaye secured a discount, with the sale finalised on 10 October. Whichever figure proves accurate, the deal has already reset expectations for the neighbourhood, breaking Coral Gables’ previous residential sale record by a wide margin and cementing Gables Estates’ reputation as one of the most sought-after addresses in the country. Whether or not this waterfront estate ends up feeling like “home” in the way Tesfaye has previously suggested no house quite manages, it is, at the very least, an exceptionally well-appointed place to dock a very large boat.
