And covered in enough exposed carbon fibre to make an automotive engineer nod approvingly. Its Black Ops exterior combines dark surfaces with an extensive collection of bespoke carbon elements, including a redesigned LED roof light arrangement created specifically for the Shadow 38 platform. The angular bodywork gives the boat an unmistakably performance focused stance, while BRABUS detailing ensures that nobody is likely to mistake it for a sensible family cruiser. The colour story continues inside. Graphite upholstery contrasts with the lighter BRABUS Moonstone interior, while glossy carbon details and red accents bring the company’s familiar automotive visual language onto the water.
1,000 Horsepower Is The Main Event
The numbers are where the Shadow 1000 stops being merely interesting and becomes slightly ridiculous in the best possible way. Two Mercury Racing 500R V8 outboard engines deliver 735 kW, or 1,000 horsepower. The result is a claimed top speed of up to 60 knots, which translates to roughly 111 km/h. On water, that is properly quick. Very quick. The twin engine arrangement provides immediate throttle response and ferocious acceleration, while precise handling is intended to keep all that mechanical enthusiasm pointed in the correct direction. BRABUS describes the Shadow 1000 as the flagship of its new generation of performance powerboats, and that seems entirely reasonable. This is not the boat you buy when you want to arrive five minutes late. This is the boat you buy because arriving slowly has apparently become offensive.
A Supercar Interior On Water
The performance might steal the headlines, but the Shadow 1000 is not some bare deck with racing seats and a fuel tank where the minibar ought to be. Inside is a considerably more sophisticated environment. The BRABUS Masterpiece Atelier shapes the cabin around premium marine upholstery, carefully selected materials and meticulous detailing. The Moonstone interior gives the space a warmer, contemporary character, while carbon elements and red accents maintain the performance theme. There are generous social areas, storage solutions, adaptable aft deck configurations and integrated wet bar options.
