After the Mumbai showcase which marked its 25th anniversary, the celebrations will continue in Delhi from October 8–12, 2025
Delhi will turn into a fashion magnet as Lakmē Fashion Week, in collaboration with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), is set to return to the capital from October 8–12, 2025, at The Grand, Vasant Kunj. Earlier this year, the Mumbai showcase marked the fashion event’s 25th anniversary celebrations with a grand tribute to its legacy.
Sunanda Khaitan, Vice President, Lakmē India, shared, “Lakmē Fashion Week has stood at the forefront of shaping the narrative of Indian fashion and beauty for over a quarter of a century. As we look ahead to a new season, we are not only honouring that legacy but also evolving it with fresh ideas, deeper purpose, and a steadfast commitment to innovation. Each edition serves as a catalyst for the industry setting benchmarks, launching talent, and reimagining the possibilities of fashion in a global context. With every step forward, Lakmē Fashion Week reaffirms its role as a dynamic force driving the future of Indian fashion.”
For over two decades, Lakmē Fashion Week has played a pivotal role in shaping India’s design identity. It has played an instrumental role in shaping the careers of some of its most influential luxury designers like Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi, Masaba Gupta, Rahul Mishra amongst others, while spotlighting the country’s rich and diverse craftsmanship and boosting its creative design economy.
Sunil Sethi, Chairman, FDCI, said, “We are delighted to bring this landmark fashion event back to the capital this October. New Delhi has always been a vital fashion hub, and this edition promises to be a powerful continuation of our 25th anniversary celebrations. At FDCI, the business of fashion remains a key agenda. Our constant endeavour is to create platforms that empower designers, open new markets, and drive meaningful engagement between creativity and commerce.” He adds that each edition cements the commitment to spotlight India’s rich design ecosystem through craft, sustainability, innovation, and a celebration of diversity.
With its bi-annual editions in Mumbai and Delhi, the high-octane fashion extravaganza supported by Lakmē, Reliance Brands Ltd., and FDCI, will have sustainability and diversity at its core. The list of participating designers will be released soon.
