Power and Exterior

The design of the first Batur Convertible highlights the exceptional performance of its 740 horsepower, W12 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged powerplant. The glittering silver of the Opalite finish exterior is divided by a black gloss Batur racing stripe with Mandarin pinstripes on each side. The painted feature racing stripe, which is completely integrated into the bodywork, starts at the radiator and goes rearwards over the bonnet and cockpit ‘airbridge’ before continuing around the rear deck to the Bentley wings insignia. At the back, these parts are linked by handmade embroidery in the same pattern across the tonneau. The Batur’s iconic matrix grille is finished in gloss Beluga with Mandarin orange highlights, and the five-spoke alloy wheels sport the same base and accent colours.

Luxury, Stitched to Perfection

The appearance of this one-of-a-kind Batur Convertible evokes old sports racing cars, while the inside expands on the performance motif. Its driver-focused cockpit ‘capsule’ is visually separated from the passenger accommodation by two opposing colour schemes: Beluga black on the driver’s side and linen on the passenger seat. The driver’s seat is completed in Beluga black hide and Alcantara, with Mulliner’s Batur pattern highlighted on seat bolsters and door inserts in Linen with Mandarin contrast stitching. A belt of Mandarin hide surrounds the driver, extending from the driver’s side of the central console across the fascia instruments and seamlessly beneath the door waistrail.

In stark contrast, the passenger reclines in a sports seat upholstered in linen hide and Alcantara with Mandarin design. The seat and door inserts have Batur pattern details on a linen background with Mandarin contrast stitching. The internal luggage compartment behind the two seats uses the same template, with the driver’s side featuring the unique Batur pattern design in Beluga and the passenger’s in Linen. Even elements like the matching key cases and seat belts are coordinated with the two colourways. The specifications of this Batur Convertible demonstrate the commissioning owner’s attention to detail, which is brought to life by the Mulliner team’s painstaking craftsmanship. The fascia and door waistrails are finished in a delicate satin black engine spin finish, with a gloss Beluga veneer on the centre console. The outside dial bezels are finished in Beluga, and the dial faces themselves are finished in light titanium.

The steering wheel is trimmed in Beluga with linen inner surfaces and Mandarin cross stitching, with a machined titanium feature at the top dead centre. Other solid titanium machined features include the gearshift paddles, the rotary controls on the steering wheel stalks, the charisma rotary control on the centre console, the organ stop air vent controls, and the inner ring of the bullseye air vent on either end of the fascia. The Batur nameplate and series number are displayed on the illuminated outer sill treadplates. Opening the rear luggage compartment reveals another delightful bespoke element. A two-piece luggage set nestles within; one corresponding to the driver’s colour scheme in Beluga and the other in Linen. As a finishing touch, Mulliner also created two bespoke key cases in the two colourways.
