Every September, Apple takes centre stage with its much-awaited keynote, which has made it one of the most influential technology giants. This showcase is not just a preview, but it’s the opening night for Apple that commands parades, and wishes for a monument to be built to the skies with its name painted in gold. This year CEO Tim Cook and his team took the grand stage to reveal the 2025 products from different parts of the world, making the everyone realise why it still leads in technology and lifestyle. Undoubtedly, the anticipated star of the show is the iPhone 17 Air, the thinnest iPhone ever. It features a titanium design, the back of the smartphone is now protected with Ceramic Shield, and the front cover uses Ceramic Shield 2, delivering 3x better scratch resistance, making iPhone Air more durable than any previous model. It also features a 6.5inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion up to 120Hz. The powerhouse is A19 Pro, N1, and C1X, and is paired with the redesigned internal architecture and software optimsations giving it an all-day battery life.
A powerful 48MP Fusion Main camera enables the equivalent of four lenses with incredible image quality, and the 18MP Center Stage front camera takes selfies. The front camera enables ultra-stabilised video in 4K HDR, and users can record on the front and rear cameras simultaneously with Dual Capture feature. The 5-core GPU has an upgraded architecture, delivering optimum mobile gaming experience, including AAA titles. Neural Accelerators are built into each GPU core, bringing up to 3x the peak GPU compute over the previous generation. It will be available in space black, cloud white, light gold, and sky blue colours, and pre-orders begin September 12, with availability beginning from September 19. This phone is priced at ₹ 90,000 (approx.).
Next are the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max gets the new A19 Pro, the most powerful and efficient chip. Built with an Apple-designed vapour chamber that is laser-welded into a strong, light, and thermally conductive aluminium unibody, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max gets three 48MP Fusion cameras, Main, Ultra-Wide, and an all-new Telephoto and offer results equivalent of eight lenses, including the longest optical-quality zoom ever on iPhone at 8x, and the innovative 18MP Center Stage front camera takes selfies. The new brushed unibody design is crafted with a lightweight aerospace-grade 7000-series aluminium alloy, and the back gets the plateau that gives an additional space for internal components, thus, making room for a larger battery, while, the antennas are integrated around the perimeter.
Available in 6.3 inch and 6.9 inch sizes, the Super Retina XDR display is protected by Ceramic Shield 2, and with a new Apple-designed coating for 3x better scratch resistance and improved anti-reflection to reduce glare. The displays feature ProMotion up to 120Hz. The iPhone 17 lineup also incorporates N1, a new Apple-designed wireless networking chip that enables Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. In addition to powering the latest generation of wireless technologies, this chip improves the overall performance and reliability of features like Personal Hotspot and AirDrop. The Silicone Case with MagSafe will be available in six colours, orange, terra cotta, neon yellow, purple fog, midnight, and black. iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are available in three colours, deep blue, cosmic orange, and silver. Pre-orders begin on September 12, with availability beginning from September 19. iPhone 17 is priced at $₹ 70,000 (approx.), 17 Pro at ₹ 97,000 (approx.), 17 Pro Max at ₹ 1.6 lakh (approx.).
The AirPods Pro 3 fit even better and offer additional in-ear stability for sports such as running, HIIT, yoga, and more. Users may now use these headphones to detect heart rate and track over 50 workout kinds with the new Fitness app on iPhone. With next-generation Adaptive EQ, the new design improves bass response, broadens the soundstage so users can hear every instrument, and adds vivid vocal clarity to higher frequencies in music, shows, and calls.
AirPods now include Live Translation, which facilitates face-to-face discussions by allowing users to connect even if they do not speak the same language. To interact with someone who does not have this hands-free feature, you can utilise the iPhone as a horizontal display, which shows a live transcription of what the user is saying in the other person’s preferred language. Live Translation on AirPods is currently available in English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, with four additional languages expected by the end of the year: Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. AirPods Pro 3 also have a 67% longer battery life in Transparency mode than prior generations, lasting up to 10 hours on a single charge. The Watch Series 11 notifies users of indicators of persistent high blood pressure and offers a comprehensive collection of health functions yet, as well as longer battery life, an even more robust cover glass, and 5G cellular capabilities, all in its thinnest design. Apple Watch Series 11 now has up to 24 hours of battery life thanks to its slim and comfortable design. The smartwatch also enables quick charging, with only 15 minutes giving up to eight hours of battery life.
The Apple Watch Hermès line features the new Faubourg Party knit band, as well as a matching, whimsical animated watch face set featuring the house’s renowned Paris flagship building, available in 42mm and 46mm sizes.
