The Met Gala 2026 once again proved why it is the most anticipated night in fashion. Held at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, this year’s theme, “Costume Art” / “Fashion Is Art,” is encouraged guests to treat the red carpet as a living moving art gallery.
There were calls for “free the nipple” by Jenners and Kardashians, and metallic breastplates covering the bust as well as face masks. Further, mannequin-like hand attachments looking like “extra body parts” couture were sewn with garments for the spookiest Met Gala look while Heidi Klum delivered one of the most theatrical looks, looking like a living marble statue.

Heidi Klum delivered one of the most theatrical looks, transforming into a living marble statue inspired by the Veiled Vestal. Her full-body grey ensemble, complete with painted details, contacts, and floral headpiece, made her appear like a moving off-white sculpture.
Kim Kardashian
As always, Kardashians and Jenners leaned into provocative couture, this time with breastplates and hyper-realistic detailing showing impressions of nipple. Kim Kardashian wore a tangerine sculptural breastplate by Allen Jones, reviving a vintage mould from the 1960s.
BLACKPINK’s Lisa
BLACKPINK’s Lisa turned heads with a dramatic Robert Wun creation featuring additional hands lifting her veil, adding much drama, and a mythical layer to her silhouette.
Katy Perry
Katy Perry wore a sculptural white Stella McCartney gown paired with a futuristic mask resembling an astronaut helmet, concealing her identity entirely.
Lena Mahfouf
French media personality and author Lena Mahfouf stunned in a metallic chest piece by Burc Akyol. It looked like multiple hands covering the torso adding a layer of gothic drama.

The pop star embraced theatrical chaos with a pirate-inspired ensemble, brass trumpet, and blindfolded companions adding to the drama.
