Strategic partnership with GMR-led DIAL brings Hilton’s iconic luxury and full-service brands to India’s capital, marking a major milestone in the country’s hospitality growth

In a move that reflects its sustained dedication to India’s rapidly growing hospitality sector, Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has signed a strategic partnership with Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), led by the GMR Group, to open two new historic hotels in GMR Aerocity, New Delhi. As part of the deal, the first Hilton Hotels & Resorts facility will open in New Delhi, and the renowned Waldorf Astoria brand will make its debut in India’s capital.

Located next to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in GMR Aerocity, India’s leading global business centre, these developments mark a significant turning point in Hilton’s regional growth plan. Global business and luxury tourism are rapidly drawn to GMR Aerocity because of its state-of-the-art infrastructure, first-rate office spaces, top-notch dining options, and seamless connection.

The brand’s renowned mix of effortless elegance, personalised service, and culinary excellence will be brought to India’s capital with the launch of the 150-room luxury hotel, the Waldorf Astoria New Delhi. With its distinctive culinary options, large event spaces, wellness centres, and the brand’s recognisable Peacock Alley, the hotel is set to make a significant impact on New Delhi’s hospitality scene.

Alongside, a 350-room Hilton will introduce the brand’s cutting-edge full-service offerings to Aerocity. Constructed for both business and leisure travellers, the Hilton New Delhi Aerocity will provide a variety of culinary options, elegant lodgings, and a plethora of business and social facilities, all supported by Hilton’s well-known worldwide service standards.

“This signing marks a significant step forward in Hilton’s growth trajectory in the region and reinforces our role in shaping the future of the Indian hospitality market,” said Chris Nassetta, President & CEO, Hilton. “These landmark properties and partnerships play a pivotal role in expanding Hilton’s portfolio and delivering exceptional, elevated experiences for global travelers.”
