Some stars announce themselves with spectacle. Nayanthara does it with presence. Known across South Indian cinema as the “Lady Superstar”, she has spent more than two decades carrying films on the strength of her screen charisma, and in 2023 she brought that following to Hindi cinema with Jawan, opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Offscreen, she has built a reputation for style that favours polish over noise: a well-draped saree, a considered accessory, a look that feels effortless. It is no surprise, then, that her choice of watch follows the same rule. Rather than chase the loudest pieces, she leans toward watches that match her outfits, her mood and the occasion. For a celebrity who could wear anything, that restraint says a great deal. Here is a look at the timepieces associated with her wrist.
Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36

Rolex’s new Oyster Perpetual 36 revisits the Jubilee motif of the late 1970s, with the Rolex name in a lacquered interplay of ten colours, each applied one after another with exacting precision. The case is Oystersteel, an exclusive 904L-family alloy with outstanding sheen and corrosion resistance, waterproof to 100 metres, with a Twinlock crown and scratchproof sapphire crystal. The Oyster bracelet adds an Oysterclasp and Easylink extension of about 5 mm. Inside beats the in-house calibre 3230, with the Chronergy escapement, blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers, offering about 70 hours of power reserve. It continues the lineage of the original 1926 Oyster.
Rolex Lady-Datejust 36

The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 is built in a 36 mm Oystersteel Oyster case, with a monobloc middle case, a domed bezel, a screw-down case back and a Twinlock double-waterproofness crown. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial, and the watch is waterproof to 100 metres. Inside beats the Manufacture Rolex calibre 3230, a self-winding mechanical movement with bidirectional winding via the Perpetual rotor and a power reserve of about 70 hours. Its paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers support precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing. Centre hour, minute and seconds hands are joined by a stop-seconds function for accurate time setting.

Richard Mille RM 07-04 Automatic Sport

Reports link Nayanthara to Richard Mille, and this model is the brand’s first sports watch dedicated to women, built for its sportswomen ambassadors. It weighs just 36 grams with its strap, so it feels almost weightless, and its bold, modern case design makes a striking contrast with traditional dress watches. Automatic winding keeps it practical for daily wear. For a collector who enjoys both classic and contemporary design, it is the daring counterpoint to the quiet Rolex, offering technical innovation and a distinctly modern attitude.
Bvlgari Serpenti Tubogas

Part watch, part jewellery, the Serpenti Tubogas wraps the wrist in a flexible coiled bracelet inspired by the Tubogas technique, which takes its name from gas piping and gives the metal a supple, seamless flow. The serpent motif, a Bvlgari signature, adds a sculptural, almost mythic quality. Worn alone, it reads as a statement bracelet, and it pairs beautifully with traditional outfits and statement jewellery. For an actress known for polished, personal style, it combines horology and high jewellery in a single, elegant piece.
