Samantha Ruth Prabhu marries filmmaker Raj Nidimoru in an intimate ceremony at Isha Yoga Centre, marking a new beginning for the actress after her 2021 divorce from Naga Chaitanya

After weeks of whispers and wild guesses across social media, Samantha Ruth Prabhu finally chose to put an end to speculations and share her truth with the world. The celebrated Family Man star has stepped into a new chapter of her life – she’s tied the knot once again.

The Wedding

On December 1, Samantha took fans by surprise with a quiet yet deeply personal wedding announcement. She and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru reportedly sealed their vows at the sacred Linga Bhairavi Temple located within Isha Yoga Centre. With an intimate guest list of just about 30 close friends and family, the couple, it seems, opted for a heartfelt celebration rather than a grand spectacle.

Samantha posted the first pictures from the ceremony on Instagram on Monday – a carousel captioned simply with “01.12.2025” and a row of white hearts. In one frame, Raj can be seen slipping a ring onto Samantha’s finger, the temple shrine forming a powerful spiritual backdrop. Another candid capture shows her wrapped in his arms, beaming and proudly flashing her dazzling engagement rock.

What The Bride And Groom Wore

The newlyweds were a vision in traditional Indian wedding attire. Raj kept things classic in a Tarun Tahiliani chevron-patterned quilted bundi, paired with a handwoven silk kurta and classic churidar.

Samantha, meanwhile, leaned into regal bridal elegance. She wore a rich red-and-gold saree woven with heritage motifs by Arpita Mehta – the quintessential bridal palette symbolizing prosperity and love. Her blouse, created in collaboration with Jayati Bose and inspired by the Tree of Life, featured the Devi’s third eye – protective, symbolic, and utterly perfect. Her hair was styled traditionally, adorned with fresh jasmine, lending a sweet floral grace to her glowing look. In the pictures, the couple can also be seen performing rituals, offering aarti, kneeling together in prayer, and walking hand-in-hand through a floral-lined entryway, their smiles wide and unmistakably joyful.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu And Naga Chaitanya

This marks Samantha’s second marriage. She was earlier married to South actor Naga Chaitanya. They tied the knot in 2017 and eventually separated in 2021. Naga Chaitanya is now married to Sobhita Dhulipala.

The Rumours

Though Samantha and Raj chose to keep their relationship extremely private, their closeness had begun raising eyebrows earlier this year. What added to the intrigue was the fact that Raj had never publicly spoken about parting ways with his first wife, Shhyamali De. Over time, Samantha and Raj were spotted together at various events, and whispers grew louder that they were living together, which Samantha’s team dismissed at the time.

The Love Story

The two are believed to have first bonded while working together on The Family Man 2, where Samantha delivered one of her most notable performances. They crossed paths again during the making of Citadel: Honey Bunny. Despite mixed reception to the show, it seems the professional collaboration deepened into something more personal.

Samantha’s social media posts over the past year also hinted that their relationship had evolved beyond colleagues. From casual hangouts to cosy group photos, Raj was a frequent presence. In one post that now feels telling, Samantha captioned a picture series: “It’s been a long road, but here we are. New beginnings @tralalamovingpictures,” with Raj warmly included in the visual storyline.

Who Is Raj Nidimoru?
