India’s luxury retail landscape is undergoing a massive transformation. Despite living in a digital era, brands are doubling down on something far more powerful: presence. Because today, a store isn’t just where you shop from, it’s what you feel as an experience.

With India’s luxury market racing toward a projected $200 billion by 2030, the brief is simple: grab attention the second a buyer walks in. And that’s exactly why stores are ditching the old-school racks-and-shelves formula for something far more theatrical, immersive, and wildly detailed.

For instance, Shanti Benaras recently experimented with a live performance, ‘The Banaras Circus’, to creatively activate (announce) ther new store opening in Ambawatta One, Delhi. Homegrown clothing label 11:11’s new store has a architectural spine cantilevered at 29 degrees and clad with hand-cut bamboo slivers, as a striking interior installation. Many are blurring the line between an art gallery, museum, and design atelier such as Vayu Design in Delhi.

With that, here, are some of the new store launches on our radar that are a must-visit for 2026.

The NYC-based brand’s store opening shows India’s growing influence as a global luxury market. Located within The Chanakya, one of India’s most rarefied luxury retail addresses, the Judith Leiber Couture store reflects the house’s six-decade legacy of turning evening bags into objets d’art. You’d find crystal-encrusted minaudières that are equally fashionable as they are collectibles. The whimsical designs range from a hot air balloon, stiletto, birds, butterflies, animated bears to highlights like India-inspired pieces such as Ganesha, Elephants, Red Rose Belle, and Parrot Scarlet.

A more narrative-driven spatial design awaits at Shanti Banaras. Located near the historic Qutub Minar, the is structured almost maze-like where each section reveals itself gradually. This design allows visitors to encounter textiles in moments of pause rather than as a continuous visual overload. At its core, the store presents meticulously crafted Banarasi metallic lehengas, real zari weaves, and hand-embroidered saris. Even the interiors echo the weaving process: chandeliers made from loom punch cards translated into metal, abstracted mannequins, and clean, linear furniture.

The flagship store of organic clothing brand 11.11 / eleven eleven is about architecture and material presentation. The flagship unfolds across three interconnected zones. Running through the store is a dramatic 30-foot arch, cantilevered at 29 degrees and clad in hand-cut bamboo slivers, acting as the architectural spine. The façade retains Lodi Colony’s art deco arches, with a teakwood entrance framed in lime plaster and subtle brass inlay branding. Material innovation lies at the heart of the store. Instead of plywood, boards made from agricultural waste like mustard and sugarcane by-products are used, reflecting a commitment to sustainable materials. An indigo passage, terracotta bricks and dyed surfaces, and blown glass work elevates the interiors. Inside, you’d find casual wear made with 100% plant-based dyes, in breathable hand-spun fabrics, championing slow fashion.

Mumbai’s OTT by Tarun Tahiliani interprets immersion through an urban lens. Spread across 1,048 sq. ft, the store marks the first physical outpost of Tarun Tahiliani’s ready-to-wear line. The interiors are warm yet restrained, combining clean architectural lines with gold accents and integrated digital screens. Designed for the modern Indian woman, the space houses a curated mix of kaftans, capes, gilets, and separates, all detailed with signature techniques like chikankari and jewel-inspired prints. The store also houses the latest Spring Summer ’26 collection, featuring organzas, knits, crinkled silks, and jerseys.

This 50,000 sq. ft. flagship store is dedicated to interior design and home living. Visitors enter through a monumental 22-foot-high door, an immediate statement of scale and craftsmanship, before moving through curated living, dining, and furniture settings designed to evoke real homes. You can find a mix of leather and fabric furniture, modern cabinetry, wall panelling, vanity spaces, and bedroom environments.
