Skin goes through so much during hot summer months that may leave it looking dull and lifeless, even if you’re putting on sunscreen every day. The heat, humidity, and environmental factors can all contribute to the skin feeling out of balance.

Instead of giving you that bright, vibrant look you want from summer sun, your skin may look tired and thirsty and in need of more attention. A lot of times, just doing something simple can be very effective in getting back your glowing skin. Using a good-quality basic face pack that is made for your skin type can help replenish moisture in your skin, soothe irritation, and give your skin its natural glow.

Why Your Skin Needs Extra Attention in Summer?

Skin can lose hydration more quickly in the summer than at any other time of the year. Even if your skin feels oily, it can still be terribly dehydrated. With all the UV damage and environmental factors, your skin’s barrier will not work well.

You may notice the appearance of more breakouts, uneven skin tone, rough patches, increased sensitivity, and lack of a “bright” look.

Why Face packs work for the summer?

Face packs are not just for luxury; they assist your skin in resetting after being stressed. They deliver moisture, pull out impurities, and give your skin a chance to heal from the everyday stress it is exposed to.

Face Packs For Oily Skin

Multani mitti and rosewater skin pack is a great combination if you have oily skin. Multani mitti absorbs excess oil from the face and opens clogged pores, and rosewater refreshes your skin and keeps it cool. You’ll be surprised at how clean you will feel after using this face pack. It also helps control your oil production.

Face Pack For Dry Skin

Dry skin in the summertime can become seemingly tighter due to the heat and air conditioning. Mixing honey with fresh milk cream provides your skin with nourishment. Milk cream will strengthen the skin’s barrier and add softness, while honey draws moisture to your skin.

Face Pack For Acne-Prone Skin

Bacteria and sweat can increase the number of breakouts in the summer. Using neem and turmeric together will provide a very effective natural method for treating your acne.

Neem will help purify your skin, while turmeric will help to reduce the redness and inflammation of your skin.

Face Pack for Combination Skin

Combination skin desires balance and hydration without excessive weight. Aloe vera and cucumber are both suitable for combination skin because of their lightweight nature and soothing properties. They can also provide an instant cooling effect upon application. The combination of these two ingredients will moisturise dry patches of your skin while controlling oily areas of your face. The Aloe vera and cucumber face pack will give a balanced appearance to your skin, relieving irritation that may occur due to summer activities.

Face Pack For Sensitive Skin

Because sensitive skin tends to have greater reactions during hot weather, often resulting in either redness or irritation, the oatmeal and yoghurt face pack will help to calm the skin and bring it back into balance. Oatmeal can soothe and nourish, while yoghurt will peel off the top layer of dead skin cells, making your skin feel smooth and hydrated.

Natural Ingredients for Glowing Skin

There are four plant extracts/ingredients (aloe vera, cucumber, rose water, and honey) that will help to cool and soothe your skin during the hot months. Aloe vera will cool and heal; cucumber will refresh and moisten; rosewater will soothe; and honey will keep moisture in your skin.

These four ingredients are not only calming; they also work to support your skin’s continued health during the heat and humidity of summer.

How often should a face pack be used?

It is sufficient to use a face pack on your skin 2 – 3 times per week. Using them too much (especially clay-based) may dry your skin out and disrupt its balance. When using a pack, listen to your skin’s needs. If your skin feels dry, choose hydrators; if your skin feels congested, choose cleansers. Taking 15 – 20 min out of your busy day and using a face pack can make a huge difference. Not only will it help improve your skin, but you will also be giving it a break by allowing it to cool and repair itself. Glowing skin is not about doing more; it’s about doing the right things in moderation and consistently over time.
