Cannes Film Festival 2025: Bella Hadid Dazzles In 118-Carat Chopard Emeralds

The supermodel stuns in a sleek black gown and jaw-dropping Chopard jewels, proving that elegance and edge can go hand in hand—even without nudity

Bella Hadid made a breathtaking entrance at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, once again affirming her reputation as the undisputed style icon of the Croisette. Her red carpet appearance was a masterclass in glamour, allure, and sophistication—exactly the kind of statement we’ve come to anticipate from her celebrated Cannes wardrobe.

Dressed in a sleek, black Saint Laurent gown featuring a draped cowl neckline, Hadid stunned the crowd while cleverly navigating the festival’s newly implemented “no naked dress” policy. The gown boasted bold design elements, including a daring thigh-high slit, sculpted side cutouts, and an asymmetrical strappy back that merged high fashion with just the right hint of edge.

But it was her choice of jewellery that truly stole the show. As a Chopard ambassador since 2024, Hadid had exclusive access to some of the maison’s most exquisite pieces—and she did not disappoint. Dangling from her ears were a pair of dazzling emerald drop earrings weighing an impressive 118.68 carats. The pear-shaped emeralds, set in white gold and accentuated with diamonds, added a luxurious contrast to the minimalist silhouette of her gown

Adding to the sparkle, Hadid wore a stunning 12.15-carat heart-shaped diamond ring by Chopard. Its romantic design and flawless clarity brought a softer, whimsical contrast to her otherwise bold look. To finish the ensemble, she slipped into rhinestone-encrusted Saint Laurent stilettos that added an extra touch of brilliance.

Hadid hinted at her fashion-forward approach the day prior, when she arrived at the Hôtel Martinez wearing flared jeans, a chic honey-blonde updo, and vintage Saint Laurent raffia heart heels. Yet, it was her red carpet appearance that confirmed her dominance in the festival’s fashion scene.

Over the years, Hadid has curated a legacy of unforgettable Cannes moments—from vintage Versace to the sheer Saint Laurent gown that arguably sparked the festival’s updated dress code, now explicitly banning nudity on the red carpet and within festival grounds.

If the rule was meant to temper bold fashion choices, Bella Hadid proved otherwise. With timeless elegance, a striking silhouette, and hundreds of carats of emerald brilliance, she effortlessly commanded the spotlight—no bare skin required. Without question, the 2025 Cannes red carpet already belongs to her.
