Stars Among Stars: Chopard’s Cosmic-Themed Gala Lights Up the Cannes Sky

Chopard once again dazzled Cannes with its annual gala evening, this year unfolding within a transformed airport hangar at Cannes – a fitting location for a night named ‘UNIVERSE’

May 20, 2025

With “UNIVERSE – To the Moon and Back…”, Chopard’s annual Cannes Gala Evening took guests to a heavenly realm in an extraordinary celebration of style, ingenuity, and cosmic inspiration. This spectacular event, which was hosted in a converted airfield hangar in Cannes, was a tribute to Caroline Scheufele’s imaginative world and included the most recent pieces from Caroline’s Couture as well as the Maison’s 2025 Red Carpet Collection. The evening was a celestial experience braided with dreams and stardust, featuring everything from spectacular fashion moments and moonlit music to beverages reminiscent of sunsets and magical forest dining.

In a beautiful setting, Caroline Scheufele, co-president of Chopard, welcomed friends and guests, among them: members of the Festival’s jury Halle Berry and Alba Rohrwacher; Chopard Ambassadors Jacky Ickx and Zhang Linghe; Isabelle Huppert, James Franco, Carla Bruni, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Yasmine Sabri, William Abadie, Mouny Roy , Cody Fern*, Emma Thynn, Khadja Nin, Paulo Dybala and Oriana Sabatini, and Marcelo and Clarice Vieira, Karolina Kurkova, Izabel Pakzad, Lena Mahfouf, Marina Ruy Barbosa, and Catrinel Marlon.

Inspiring: A Sunset Cocktail in Dreamlike Hues

The evening opened with a cocktail reception awash in sunset tones of orange, pink and violet. Guests were welcomed into this celestial prelude by model Petra Nemcova, who guided them through the entirety of the evening’s festivities as Master of Ceremonies, as a live performance by pianist Peter Bence unfolded, in parallel to the magical artistry of illusionist David Jarre.

Surprising: Setting Nature-filled Scene for Dinner and a Show

Following the apéritif, the experience transitioned into a lush dining room – a dreamlike setting inspired by enchanted nature and the creation of the Earth… Within this forest-like scene, dinner was served on serpentine mirrored tables, winding through an atmosphere that evoked the mysteries of the universe. The dinner featured a first interlude with a musical performance by the pop-opera group Il Volo, setting the tone for an evening designed as a true journey of the mind.

A highlight of the night was the fashion show featuring the 78 unique Haute Joaillerie creations of the 2025 Red Carpet Collection, paired with the latest Caroline’s Couture silhouettes – all a reflection of Caroline Scheufele’s inspirations, memories, and passions – bringing the Maison’s singular vision of beauty and craftsmanship to life. The show culminated with the apparition of supermodels Eva Herzigova, Helena Christensen, Chanel Iman, Shanina Shaik, Toni Garrn, Izabel Goulart and Mika Schneider.

Stellar: A moonlit Party

Following dinner, the guests were taken to a stunning party beneath a starry moon. As the evening came to a close, Chopard gave its guests a live performance by Ellie Goulding, who sang her hit songs, including Burn, I Need Your Love, Miracle, Still Falling For You, and Love Me Like You Do. Craig David’s DJ set came next.
