Edge Fumage: Where Smoke Becomes Structure

A watch that thinks about control, using ceramic, light and shadow.

Wearing a watch today is a choice. Time is already everywhere—on our phones, on our screens, glowing at us from corners we didn’t ask it to occupy. Today, the purpose of a watch has been redefined; now, t’s about how wemove through the day.

Edge by Titan has always understood that. When Edge first arrived as one of the world’s slimmest watches, it made its point quietly. Over the years, it has changed in small ways: the lines just a little cleaner, the materials a touch richer, the proportions a bit sharper.

But now, Fumage feels like the moment Edge lets a little emotion and a great deal of depth in.

After a three-year pause, the watch returns with a new ceramic case and a dial that introduces something new to the collection: “mood.”

Smoke, Slowed Down

The idea for Fumage began with something fleeting. Smoke. A moment that encapsulates how it curls, thins and disappears almost as soon as you notice it. The team kept coming back to that feeling: could something so uncontainable be held, even briefly?

Inspired by the art of fumage, the dial was imagined as a slow transition. Darker at the edges, lighter at the centre, built up patiently in layers.Nothing’s meant to be noticed all at once.

The effect is quiet and gradual. You see it differently depending on the light, or the angle of your wrist. There’s a sense of movement without anything actually moving; like catching smoke just before it slips away.

A Change You Can Feel

The biggest shift is the case. Fumage introduces a new ceramic case after three years; the case that feels sharper, more sculpted and that’s remarkably slim, just over five millimetres.

The edges are sharper, the surfaces thoughtfully finished. Satin areas meet polished ones in a way that catches light without asking for attention.

The bracelet flows naturally from the case, finished with a vertical satin polish that adds depth instead of shine.

This is Edge expressed differently.

The Same, But Not Quite

Everything you expect is still here. The Grade A ceramic. The diamond-cut hands. The sapphire glass. The in-house movement with T-9081 Edge calibre. The vertical satin finish strap. And yet, the watch feels different.

Now there’s warmth and a sense that the watch is more about being lived with.

Fumage deepens Edge’s personality.

Fumage

A Quiet Confidence

This is the kind of design change that you notice over time.

As Kalpana Rangamani, CSMO, Titan Premium & Luxury Watches, puts it, “With Fumage, we’re widening the footprint of Edge in the premium category. The new structure, the ceramic case, and the fumé dial give Edge a distinct visual language. This is the start of the next chapter for Edge.”

Time, Left Alone

Available in Black and Blue, priced at INR 52,995, Edge Fumage is offersed across Titan World stores, Helios, Titan.co.in, and select authorised retailers.

But the details almost feel secondary.

What Fumage really offers is a different relationship with time.

In a world that rarely pauses, Edge Fumage feels like an object that’s comfortable being present, and nothing more.
