Titan unveils Jalsa, its most premium luxury timepiece yet—an 18K rose gold tourbillon—inspired by Jaipur’s Hawa Mahal and India’s artistic soul

In a major milestone for Indian luxury, Nebula by Titan has launched Jalsa, its most prestigious timepiece yet — and perhaps the most ambitious ever from India. This exquisite creation in 18K rose gold is more than just a watch — it’s a tribute to India’s heritage, craftsmanship, and rising global presence in the world of haute horlogerie.

Jalsa is a one-of-a-kind tourbillon timepiece, built not only to tell time but to tell a story — a story that’s 225 years in the making, inspired by the Hawa Mahal in Jaipur. Created as a celebration of the palace’s grandeur and India’s rich design legacy, the timepiece is also Titan’s first official entry into the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) 2025, the most prestigious watchmaking awards in the world.

A Design That Reflects India’s Soul

At first glance, Jalsa stuns with its elegance. Crafted from 18K rose gold, the case glows with quiet opulence. The crown is inlaid with a radiant red agate, adding a regal touch. But the true magic lies in the hand-painted dial, which depicts a royal procession before the Hawa Mahal. This miniature painting was created by the legendary Padma Shri Shakir Ali, using ancient techniques and natural gemstone pigments. Every brushstroke is a nod to India’s storied artistic legacy.

Inside, the magic continues. The in-house flying tourbillon movement is built from 144 parts and 14 jewels, offering not just accuracy but awe. The bridges are inlaid with more red agate, while a poetic sapphire magnifier on the minute hand adds a sculptural layer to the time-telling experience. A sapphire crystal caseback offers a clear view of this mechanical masterpiece, merging function and beauty seamlessly.

The Spirit Behind The Watch

The name Jalsa itself evokes celebration — and that’s exactly what this timepiece represents. A celebration of heritage, design, passion, and precision. C K Venkataraman, Managing Director of Titan Company Ltd, shared, “We are not just launching a watch — we are presenting a cultural artefact.” Chief Design Officer Revathi Kant added that Jalsa reflects Titan’s intent to put Indian luxury design on the global map.

Joining the celebration, actor Sushmita Sen remarked, “Jalsa is a celebration of India’s artistic legacy and craftsmanship, expressed through horological excellence.”

Where to Find It

As part of the Nebula collection, Jalsa, priced at Rs 40.5 lakh will be available through select high-end channels. While this particular piece is a collector’s treasure, Nebula’s other 18K gold watches are available at:

  • Titan World stores, Helios boutiques
  • Online at Titan.co.in
  • Select luxury watch retailers

The broader Nebula range features both men’s and women’s timepieces, combining fine goldwork with Swiss-quality movements, rooted in Indian art and culture.

A Defining Moment for Indian Watchmaking

With Jalsa, Nebula by Titan does more than launch a watch — it places India on the global stage of fine watchmaking. This is a watch born of conviction, precision, and pride. It is heritage you can wear and a reminder that the power, passion, and presence we carry within deserve to be celebrated with the finest expression possible.
