In early September 2025, Jeddah’s grand Superdome transformed into the epicentre of a new luxury alliance. The inaugural Saudi Arabia Jewellery Exposition (SAJEX) brought together over 200 exhibitors from India, Saudi Arabia, and beyond—signalling far more than just another trade show.

India Meets Saudi Vision
Organised by India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council with government backing, SAJEX arrives at a pivotal moment. Saudi Arabia’s luxury market is set to soar to $23.3 billion by 2033, driven by Vision 2030. India, with $32 billion in annual gem and jewellery exports, stands as the world’s leading diamond processor and gold exporter.
This isn’t just about business. SAJEX created a cultural bridge where Indian artisans connected directly with Saudi stakeholders through fashion shows, cultural programs, and the World Jewellery Investment Forum.

A Royal Vision
Her Royal Highness Princess Nourah Al-Faisal, founder of Noon Jewels, delivered the event’s most compelling endorsement: “Almost all of my suppliers—100 percent—are Indian.” This symbiotic partnership, she emphasised, is essential for Saudi Arabia to build the infrastructure needed to compete globally.
Princess Nourah’s vision extends beyond traditional supply chains. She highlighted AI’s transformative role in design and production while emphasising sustainability. With its young, talented workforce, Saudi Arabia is poised for creative renaissance through collaboration with India.
The Future of Luxury
SAJEX represents a convergence of strengths: India’s history of meticulous craftsmanship meeting Saudi Arabia’s bold luxury ambitions. As India and Saudi Arabia combine their capabilities, they’re writing a new chapter in global luxury—one that honors the past while boldly embracing the future.
