The Best Timepieces From LVMH Watch Week 2025

A look at the most impressive new novelties from Bvlgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer, Louis Vuitton and Zenith

30 January 2025 07:28 AM

The sixth edition of LVMH Watch Week saw nine LVMH watchmaking Maisons showcase their latest creations in an exclusive event on January 21-22, 2025 in New York at Tiffany’s iconic flagship The Landmark. The Paris leg of the event is scheduled for January 30-31, 2025 at LVMH Group’s Cheval Blanc Paris.

The prestigious Maisons that have regularly taken part in this event – Bvlgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer, Zenith, Daniel Roth and Gérald Genta – are joined in 2025 by three other iconic brands, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. and L’Epée 1839.

“New York to Paris is a perfect theme for this sixth edition of LVMH Watch Week, linking two essential regions for our Maisons and the LVMH Group. Our decision to organize Watch Week in the United States for the second consecutive year reflects the key position of this market, which remains at the core of our strategy, along with the deep and enduring ties we enjoy with our American customers and partners. We’re also proud to welcome Tiffany & Co, Louis Vuitton and L’Epée 1839 as new Maisons taking part in this 2025 edition, underscoring the importance of the gathering, which has become a premier event on the watch industry calendar,” said Frédéric Arnault, Chief Executive Officer of LVMH Watches in a media release.

Each of the luxury watchmakers put their best foot forward with some of the most exquisite horological pieces. Here are the five watched that stunned us.

1. Gérald Genta Gentissima Oursin Fire Opal

Gérald Genta Gentissima Oursin Fire Opal is the fourth piece in the Gentissima Oursin collection. Oursin means ’sea urchin’ in French. The striking 36mm yellow-gold 3N case with a sophisticated glass-blasted finish timepiece has individually screwed fire opal gems surrounding the circumference and showcasing the stunning 137 fire opals secured by yellow-gold pins. This timepiece design subtly incorporates Genta’s signature octagonal motifs in the faceted crystal and case and pays homage to founder, Gérald Genta’s, intuitive, creative talent with a keen eye for beautiful stones.

2. Zenith Chronomaster Sport Rainbow

Crafted from 18k white gold, this luxurious and colourful take on the Zenith Chronomaster Sport is crowned by a bezel set in ‘Rainbow’ style with 50 baguette-cut gemstones. To enhance its style while preserving its functionality, a bright and colourful palette of 40 sapphires is punctuated with 10 baguette-cut diamonds indicating the 10 seconds. It further asserts the Swiss watchmaker’s mastery in combining innovative watchmaking and gem-setting.

3. Bvlgari Serpenti Seduttori Automatic

First introduced in 1948 as a mechanical timepiece, Serpenti was originally equipped with some of the finest movements of its era. With Serpenti Seduttori Automatic, Bvlgari is reconnecting with its heritage through the BVS100 Lady Solotempo, an all-new in-house automatic movement, where the watch is powered by the kinetic energy of its wearer’s movements and offers a whopping power reserve of 50 hours. With diamond accents on the bezel, the term “Automatic” on the dial as a nod to their mechanical sophistication, this is the first time the snake’s head houses a self-winding movement.

4. Hublot Spirit Of Big Bang Chronograph

For the first time in the Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Chronograph collection, the cases and bezels are crafted in coloured ceramics that were previously only available in the round Big Bang shape: Sand Beige, Dark Green and Sky Blue, each limited to 200 pieces. These watches are colourful, hypoallergenic, light, scratch-resistant and gender-neutral in their appeal.

5. TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph

The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph ignites the Glassbox design with a striking smoky black-to-purple gradient dial, following the success of the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph in purple. Inside the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph is the in-house Heuer 02 (TH20-00) movement, celebrated for its reliability and performance, visible through the open caseback.

6. Louis Vuitton Tambour Taiko Spin Time collection

A fascinating new collection of six limited-edition watches available in two sizes—39.5 mm and 42.5 mm—both sharing the iconic Tambour Taiko case debuted at LVMH Watch Week 2025. The limited-edition watches reimagine the house’s iconic patented three-dimensional jumping cubes display devised by La Fabrique du Temps founders Michel Navas and Enrico Barbasini. The stunning 18k white gold cases with dials in elegant dolphin grey hued showcase the art of case-making with their interplay of mirrored and satin surfaces. Every model in the collection comes with an in-house calibre and a 45-hour power reserve. Every 60 minutes, two cubes spin to reveal the next hour. Two of the six are time-only 39.5mm Tambour Taiko Spin Times, the only ones with a closed caseback and 100m of water resistance and are available in both pavé and non-pavé versions. The other four 42.5mm Tambour Taiko Spin Time Air models feature 12 levitating hour-display cubes while the movement is suspended at its centre. These include a regular and snow-set version (more than 1,000 diamonds this time) as well as one with a central flying tourbillon and another with a world-time complication that has city names etched on the blocks.
