In the theatre of elite sport, where milliseconds often separate immortality from near-glory, the art of timekeeping assumes a significance that borders on the sacred. For nearly a century, that responsibility has been carried with formidable authority by OMEGA, the Swiss watchmaker whose chronometric instruments have faithfully recorded some of the most defining moments in modern athletic history. From its first appointment as Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games in 1932 to its enduring partnership with the International Paralympic Committee since 1992, the maison has consistently demonstrated that precision is not merely a technical pursuit, but an essential pillar of fair competition and sporting excellence. Now, as the global sporting spotlight shifts toward the forthcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, the brand renews that historic commitment with both technological mastery and symbolic flair. Marking the occasion, OMEGA has unveiled a commemorative edition of its iconic diver, the OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M Milano Cortina 2026, , continuing a role that began in 1992.

Set against the dramatic alpine backdrop of northern Italy, the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games officially opened on 6 March 2026 at the historic Arena di Verona, welcoming around 665 athletes from across the world. Over 10 days of intense winter competition, participants will contest in 79 medal events across six sports: Para alpine skiing, Para biathlon, Para cross country skiing, Para ice hockey, Para snowboard and wheelchair curling. The edition has a special significance as it is marking the 50th anniversary of the first Paralympic Winter Games and brought the event back to Italy for only the second time since the Torino 2006 Paralympic Winter Games. Adding to the programme’s evolution, wheelchair curling mixed doubles has been introduced as a new medal event.

The Games will conclude on 15 March at the renovated Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium, originally built for the 1956 Winter Olympics. Beyond the sporting spectacle, Milano Cortina 2026 will also showcase a distinctive visual identity known as the “Look of the Games”, a design language inspired by Italy’s rich culture, creativity and artistic heritage. Infused with energy, inclusiveness and optimism, the vibrant graphic motif appeared across competition venues, host cities, merchandise and digital platforms, creating a cohesive aesthetic that invited visitors and audiences worldwide to experience the unmistakable spirit of Italy.

This 43.5mm timepiece is crafted in white ceramic and grade 5 titanium, a polished-brushed case body, sandblasted helium escape valve at 10 o’clock, a crown at 3 o’clock, and a white 60-minute ceramic bezel ring, which features a laser-ablated diving scale in positive relief. The dial is also crafted in white ceramic with laser-engraved frosting, with a finger trace pattern inspired by the “26” of the Milano Cortina 2026 emblem. Completing the dial design, the rhodium-plated hour, minute, and second hands, and eight dotted, three rectangular, and one double rectangle hour markers have been filled with white Super-LumiNova. The main evolution concerns the varnished seconds hand which has been given a red, blue, and green gradient.
