Bvlgari has opened its first boutique in Kolkata, bringing the Italian jewellery house to the city’s luxury retail scene. Located at Quest Mall, the 115-square-metre store marks Bvlgari’s fourth boutique in India, following addresses in Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
The new address brings Bvlgari’s distinctly Roman identity into Kolkata, with the boutique’s interiors drawing on the city of Rome while making room for local references. The result is a space where Italian design meets Kolkata’s artistic character.
A Roman Language in Design
The Bvlgari boutique Kolkata has been designed around the house’s Roman roots, with travertine portals, onyx counters and fluted walls inspired by ancient Roman columns. Sculptural details draw from the work of Italian architect Carlo Scarpa, while curved showcases bring a softer rhythm to the space.
Nothing commands the eye quite like the Serpenti chandelier by Venini overhead. Handcrafted from nearly 300 Murano glass crystal wands, it brings one of Bvlgari’s most recognisable motifs into the heart of the Bvlgari Quest Mall store. An Andy Warhol artwork adds another cultural layer to the boutique, reflecting the artist’s well-documented affinity with the maison.

Pictalab, the Milan based artisan studio, has woven Kolkata and Rome into a single sinuous Serpenti form, bringing the Victoria Memorial to life through hand painted work, dimensional detailing and gold leaf.
Rome’s Codes, Kolkata’s Soul
The new Bvlgari store Kolkata houses jewellery, watches, accessories and leather goods, including signatures such as Serpenti, Octo, B.zero1, Divas’ Dream, Bvlgari and Tubogas.
Two India-exclusive creations are also part of the offering: the B.zero1 Kada Bracelet and the Bvlgari Mangalsutra, both of which reinterpret Indian design traditions through Bvlgari’s distinctive aesthetic.
The opening was attended by Khushi Kapoor, Sara Tendulkar and Rhea Kapoor, along with Shivika Goenka, Director, Luxury and Education, RPSG Group; Shashwat Goenka, Vice Chairman, RPSG Group; and Stéphane Larher, Bvlgari’s Managing Director for the Middle East, Africa and India.

The choice of Quest Mall also places the new Bvlgari boutique India address among an established mix of international luxury names, including Gucci and Emporio Armani. Its arrival adds another major name to Kolkata’s evolving luxury retail landscape, giving the city a dedicated address for Bvlgari’s jewellery, watches and accessories.
The opening marks Bvlgari’s continued expansion in India beyond its established markets in Delhi and Mumbai as it adds another international maison to a city with a growing appetite for high-end fashion and jewellery.
