The most distinctive trait here is undoubtedly the upholstery pattern, which is available in hues of Panna and Iris according to the brand’s colour palette. It reproduces an original, unpublished illustration by designer Gio Ponti, which features a motif of 26 stylised hands, each different from the other with their unique names such as, the Gloved hand, the Starry Hand, the Rotating Hand, and the Fortune Teller’s hand, among others. These hands are an ode to craftsmanship involved in creating handmade artistic pieces such as the Dezza Armchair. Each piece is accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity, individually numbered, and marked with a metal tag placed on the back of the armchair.
