Bentley Unveils Supersports With Industry-First Side-to-Side Exterior Paint Fade

Bentley's latest Supersports transforms automotive paint into moving art with an industry first side to side colour fade, exclusive Mulliner craftsmanship and a cockpit designed entirely around the driver

Have you ever noticed that almost every car on the road is painted in exactly the same way? Pick a colour, spray it on, polish it, and send it out into the world. Red is red. Blue is blue. Black is… well, black. Nobody really questions it because that’s simply how cars have always been finished. But Bentley isn’t particularly interested in “how things have always been done.” This is a company that obsesses over details most manufacturers wouldn’t even think about, so when Mulliner was asked to create something truly exclusive for the new Supersports, the answer wasn’t a louder exhaust or another carbon fibre trim package. Instead, it reinvented the paint itself. The result is the world’s first side-to-side exterior paint fade, a finish so complex and so beautifully unnecessary that it perfectly captures everything Bentley has stood for over the past century.

At first glance, the Supersports appears beautifully proportioned, muscular and unmistakably

Paint Turns The Supersports Into Rolling Artwork

At first glance, the Supersports appears beautifully proportioned, muscular and unmistakably Bentley. Look closer, however, and the true masterpiece begins to reveal itself. Created exclusively for the pinnacle Design Theme by Mulliner, the bodywork features an industry first side to side paint fade, allowing one colour to flow seamlessly across the entire width of the vehicle into another. A vivid highlight colour dominates the driver’s side before gradually blending into a darker shade on the opposite flank. Running the length of the car is a single off-centre accent stripe positioned deliberately above the passenger side, reinforcing that, regardless of whether the car is right or left hand drive, this Bentley has been designed around one person above all else. The driver.

Bentley's designers have curated three exclusive Design Themes

Three Bespoke Colour Themes Give The Supersports Three Distinct Personalities

Bentley’s designers have curated three exclusive Design Themes, each extending from the exterior directly into the cabin. Dragon pairs a dramatic Dragon Red to Black Crystal exterior fade with a bold Hotspur and Beluga leather interior, creating perhaps the most visually aggressive interpretation. Electric offers a more understated transition from Electric Blue into Dark Sapphire, while the interior introduces vibrant Klein Blue against an Imperial Blue cabin for a sophisticated sporting atmosphere. Completing the collection is Brodgar, a contemporary combination where Pale Brodgar gently fades into Brodgar, complemented inside by elegant Camel and Beluga upholstery that delivers a more restrained yet unmistakably luxurious character.

The Cabin Revolves Entirely Around The Driver

Step inside and it becomes immediately obvious that this is no ordinary grand tourer. The Supersports adopts a strict two-seat configuration, abandoning rear accommodation entirely in favour of a cockpit dedicated to driver engagement. The interior mirrors the exterior’s philosophy by surrounding the driver with the brighter accent colour while reserving the darker tone for the passenger side, subtly shifting the cabin’s visual balance toward the person behind the wheel. Every surface forms part of Bentley’s Full Leather Specification, while the seats and door inserts receive an exclusive Supersports perforation pattern. Even the gear lever adopts the driver’s highlight colour, complemented by carefully matched contrast stitching across the dashboard, seats and embroidered headrests. It is an interior that feels less like decoration and more like a tailor-made driving environment.

Bentley has resisted the temptation to overstyle the Supersports

Even The Smallest Exterior Details Celebrate Performance

Bentley has resisted the temptation to overstyle the Supersports, instead allowing carefully judged details to elevate its presence. The front grille proudly carries a distinctive number eight badge, while slim accent pinstripes trace the carbon fibre diffusers, fender blades and side sills, highlighting the car’s aerodynamic components without overwhelming the design. Every line serves a purpose, every flourish remains restrained, and together they create a machine that looks every bit as fast standing still as it undoubtedly will on the move.

Mulliner Still Believes Bespoke Should Mean Exactly That

Although Bentley offers three carefully curated Design Themes, the company makes it abundantly clear that these are only the beginning. Customers seeking something even more individual can work directly with Mulliner, Bentley’s legendary bespoke division, to explore entirely unique paint combinations and personalised finishes. In an era where personalisation often means little more than selecting different wheel designs, Bentley continues to treat every commission as an opportunity to create something genuinely one of one.

The Earlier Supersports Design Themes Already Raised The Bar For Personalisation

Before introducing this revolutionary side to side paint fade, Bentley had already established the Supersports as one of its most expressive grand tourers through the original Level One and Level Two Design Themes. Buyers could specify richly layered three-tone interiors, perforated Dinamica upholstery across the seats and doors, contrast embroidery, and a heated three spoke leather steering wheel finished in three complementary colours. Outside, 22-inch gloss black and diamond-machined wheels, accent pinstripes across the body kit, lower door graphics and, on Level Two cars, additional rear quarter livery stripes completed the dramatic appearance. Five bespoke colour specifications, named Skies, Meteorite, Daybreak, Snowstorm and Nightfall, allowed owners to tailor the Supersports long before the latest Mulliner masterpiece arrived.

The new Design Theme by Mulliner will make its world debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

Its Public Debut Could Not Have A More Appropriate Stage

The new Design Theme by Mulliner will make its world debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, appearing alongside two additional Mulliner commissioned Bentleys on the marque’s stand opposite Goodwood House. It is perhaps the perfect venue. Surrounded by some of the world’s greatest performance machines, the Supersports will remind visitors that while horsepower can always attract attention, true craftsmanship keeps people looking long after the engine has fallen silent.
