There are two things James Bond never leaves behind. One is confidence. The other is an OMEGA. The martini may occasionally change proportions and the cars may become faster, louder and considerably more expensive to repair, but the watch remains. It is as much a part of Bond’s identity as the tuxedo and the tendency to introduce himself moments before causing absolute mayhem.
Now OMEGA has unveiled something rather special. Not merely another limited-edition Bond watch, but a timepiece born from a world where digital espionage meets mechanical precision. Inspired by the upcoming 007 First Light video game, this new Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph takes a gadget-laden virtual watch and places it firmly on real wrists. Sadly, the hacking device and laser weapon remain fictional. Otherwise airport security would become very complicated indeed.

The Watch Behind Bond’s New Origin Story
Launching globally on May 27, 2026, 007 First Light offers a fresh take on Bond, portraying the world’s most famous spy as a 26-year-old operative earning his licence to kill. Developed by IO Interactive, the creators of the celebrated Hitman franchise, in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios, the game reimagines Bond’s earliest adventures for a new generation.
At the centre of the action sits a Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph that serves as more than a timekeeper. Within the game, it becomes an essential mission tool capable of disrupting electronic systems and assisting Bond through dangerous assignments. OMEGA’s response was simple: build the watch for real. And for the first time in Bond’s long relationship with the Seamaster collection, that means a chronograph.

Licensed To Thrill
The 44 mm stainless steel case immediately announces that this is no ordinary Diver 300M. Its proportions are purposeful and muscular, complemented by a polished black ceramic bezel featuring a crisp white enamel diving scale. Most intriguing are the chronograph pushers, themselves crafted from polished black ceramic, adding a technical and contemporary edge rarely seen within the collection.
The dial retains the laser-engraved wave motif that has become synonymous with modern Seamasters, but introduces distinctive details unique to this model. At 3 o’clock, the chronograph subdial is framed by a ring finished in PVD Bronze Gold, creating a warm contrast against the black ceramic surface. The central chronograph seconds hand receives the same treatment, while rhodium-plated hands and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova ensure legibility worthy of a field operative. A discreet red Seamaster signature injects colour into the composition, while the date window sits neatly at 6 o’clock. It is recognisably Bond. Yet unmistakably new.

A Movement Fit For MI6
Beneath the dial beats OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900, one of the brand’s most accomplished automatic chronograph movements offering a 60-hour power reserve. The layout features a small seconds display at 9 o’clock alongside combined 60-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters positioned at 3 o’clock. Certified as a Master Chronometer, the movement offers exceptional precision, durability and resistance to magnetic fields, attributes that would undoubtedly prove useful if one were regularly infiltrating secret compounds and dismantling global criminal organisations.
The calibre is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, where a black metallised 007 First Light logo appears suspended beneath the glass, providing a subtle reminder of the watch’s fictional origins and very real engineering.

The Strap That Tells Its Own Story
If Bond watches have taught us anything over the years, it is that the strap often matters almost as much as the watch itself. This model introduces a NATO strap inspired directly by the visual language of 007 First Light. Rendered in black, grey and beige, it recalls the colours seen on the watch worn in No Time To Die, though reinterpreted through a new pattern unique to the game.
Special engravings featuring both the 007 insignia and First Light logo appear on the keepers, while a dedicated Seamaster buckle completes the package. For collectors seeking variety, OMEGA also offers six additional NATO strap options, each mirroring wearable configurations available inside the game itself.
For Your Eyes Only
Every Bond watch needs a memorable presentation, and OMEGA has delivered exactly that. Each Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light arrives inside a bespoke presentation box inspired by the in-game suitcase used to transport Bond’s equipment.
It is a fitting conclusion to a watch that blurs the line between virtual adventure and mechanical reality. Because while Bond may now exist simultaneously in cinemas, video games and collector showcases, some things remain reassuringly unchanged. He still has the gadgets. He still saves the world. And thanks to OMEGA, he still does it with one of the most interesting watches in the room.
