Travel watches used to be a niche curiosity, something for pilots, navigators, and the occasional overprepared executive. Now they have become a category of their own, a proving ground where brands are expected to balance complexity with clarity without making a complete mess of it. And at the ongoing Watches and Wonders 2026, Oris steps in with the sort of quiet confidence that suggests it knows exactly what it is doing. On one side, the Artelier Complication leans into the idea that a watch should do more than just tell the time, layering functions in a way that feels deliberate rather than excessive. On the other, the Star Edition looks backwards, marking 60 years since Oris produced its first watch, and somehow manages to make nostalgia feel relevant rather than dusty. Together, they form a lineup that understands something crucial, that modern watchmaking is not just about innovation or heritage in isolation, but about how convincingly the two can coexist on the same wrist.
Artelier Complication

The Oris Artelier Complication is housed in a multi piece stainless steel case measuring 39.50 mm, featuring a clean bezel-less profile with lugs and a crown positioned at 3 o’clock, complemented by a discreet pusher set between 4 and 5 o’clock that subtly integrates its additional functionality. The dial is offered in refined shades of ivory, midnight blue, or chestnut, each presenting a well balanced layout with central hands for hours, minutes, and seconds, a moonphase display at 12 o’clock, and a second time zone positioned at 6 o’clock, alongside a fine timing device and stop seconds mechanism that enhance precision.

Powering the watch is the Oris Calibre 782, delivering a 41-hour power reserve, visible through a screwed stainless steel caseback fitted with see through mineral glass. Completing the timepiece is a choice between a dark brown leather strap with a butterfly clasp or a multi piece stainless steel bracelet, also secured with a butterfly clasp, ensuring both elegance and everyday versatility.

Star Edition

The Oris Star Edition, introduced at Watches and Wonders 2026, stays remarkably faithful to its origins, beginning with a 35.00 mm barrel shaped case whose lugs are seamlessly integrated into its silhouette for a distinctly vintage profile. The silvery dial is deliberately restrained, featuring twin baton hour markers and square tipped hands, while the inscriptions “Star”, “Automatic”, and “26 Jewels” lend it an unmistakable 1960s character.

An asymmetrical date window at 3 o’clock adds a touch of quirkiness, and the look is completed with a vintage plexi crystal that enhances its nostalgic appeal. True to the original, the watch is paired with a black leather strap, reinforcing its classic identity. Inside, it houses the Oris Calibre 733, a Swiss Made automatic movement offering a 41 hour power reserve, while the caseback is engraved with the evocative 1960s Oris Shield crest, sealing its tribute to a defining era, and is finished with a black leather strap secured by a pin buckle.
