The 805 is Here: Oyster Yacht’s latest BlueWater Wonder sets Sail

From next-generation yacht design to fully supported global voyages, Oyster Yachts expands its vision for modern ocean adventure and lifelong ownership

Bespoke, tech-forward, and elegantly appointed, today’s luxury yachts have become the definitive status symbol among HNIs or high-net-worth individuals, offering privacy, exclusivity and an unmatched sense of autonomy. As travellers seek escapes that blend comfort with experience, yachting has become the ultimate expression of personalised luxury in recent years. Such luxuries can be found aboard Oyster Yachts.

This spring, at London’s atmospheric St Katharine Docks, the storied British marque unveiled its latest creation: the Oyster 805, an 80-foot yacht. Following a year marked by record sales and a renewed strategic vision, the launch also looked ahead at where yachting is going and how this legacy builder plans to lead that journey. Aboard gleaming decks and beneath a sun-splashed sky, the company revealed a holistic reimagining of ownership, travel, and exploration.

For The Luxury Adventurer

Poised between the existing 745 and 885 Series II models, the Oyster 805, created in collaboration with Humphreys Yacht Design, offers the sort of poise and purpose typically reserved for much larger yachts. Expansive hull ports and oversized saloon windows bathe the interiors in natural light, while flexible configurations allow owners to tailor their space. For those desiring privacy, options such as a dedicated office or a day bar create floating sanctuaries of their own. The yacht’s delivery is customised and built to order, with the first hull expected to be launched in 2027.

“This is not just a yacht, it’s a promise of freedom,” said Ashley Highfield, CEO of Oyster Yachts. “The 805 is a doorway to adventure. In a world of volatility, we’re finding strength in craftsmanship and demand in exploration.” Oyster has also welcomed Torsten Müller-Ötvös, the former CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, as Strategic Advisor. Known for steering the British automotive house into a new era of global luxury, his appointment signals Oyster’s commitment to building an experience of distinction.

More Than A Yacht: A Way Of Life

Alongside the 805, Oyster introduced a suite of initiatives, too. Among them is the Oyster Explorers Club, a curated sailing programme inspired by the legendary Oyster World Rally. These tailor-made journeys allow owners to traverse remote archipelagos and high-latitude wildernesses in comfort and confidence. The 2028–29 edition, a circumnavigation of 27,000 nautical miles across 27 destinations, is already drawing global interest.

For those seeking knowledge as much as escape, the Bluewater Academy offers hands-on training tailored to individual sailing goals—from navigation and seamanship to live-aboard life. Whether learning solo or in small groups, participants immerse themselves in real-world conditions aboard Oyster yachts, with guidance from seasoned instructors. The programme also connects them to a community of fellow explorers, fostering an ethos of shared learning and slow, meaningful travel.

And for buyers seeking a yacht that’s equally at home coastal cruising as it is on transoceanic passages, the new Oyster 595 Series II was also revealed, a refined reinterpretation of the company’s best-selling 60 ft model.

A Community At Sea

As guests mingled at the Private View, owners, soon-to-be owners, and lifelong sailors attended masterclasses on offshore cruising, high-latitude sailing, and weather routing. The atmosphere buzzed with the camaraderie of a shared philosophy: that true luxury lies not in extravagance but in the freedom to wander with elegance and assurance. Oyster Yachts, with its new launch, continues its commitment to craftsmanship, confidence and community.

A Flagship For The Future

Talking about the grandeur of the new Oyster 805, Richard Hadida, owner and Chairman of Oyster said, “She’s the yacht I dreamed of when I took the helm. Striking, luxurious, and capable of taking you anywhere.”

Sometimes, the greatest luxury is the wind in your sails and the confidence that your yacht was built to follow it, wherever it may lead.
