For ITC’s luxury chocolate brand Fabelle, love is not a fleeting moment, it is a journey. This Valentine’s Day, the brand translates that philosophy into an immersive, multi-sensorial experience with ‘The Arc of Love’, a limited-edition chocolate collection and dining concept inspired by the five stages through which love unfolds, matures, and deepens over time.
Drawing from Sufi philosophy and timeless traditions, Fabelle’s latest offering moves beyond conventional romantic gifting to create something more intimate and enduring; an experience designed to be shared, savoured, and remembered.

Five Stages, Five Handcrafted Expressions
At the heart of The Arc of Love is a meticulously crafted collection of five heart-shaped pralines, each representing a distinct emotional stage. The journey begins with The Beginning, a pristine white chocolate shell filled with milk chocolate mousse and caramelised macadamia nuts, symbolising purity and promise.
It flows into The Bloom, where a milk chocolate shell and spicy mousse capture the intensity of early desire. The Bond follows, pairing ruby chocolate with lemon conserve and dark mousse to reflect love’s sweet-and-sour complexities. As emotions deepen, The Belief emerges—a dark chocolate expression dipped in pure cocoa liquor, embodying trust and quiet strength. The journey culminates in The Beyond, a bold fusion of rich chocolate, divine cheese mousse and French sea salt, representing love that transcends time and reason.

According to Subash Balar, Business Head – Chocolates, Coffee and Confectionery at ITC Limited, Fabelle’s approach to luxury lies in balancing deep-rooted craftsmanship with continuous innovation. Tradition forms the foundation, while creativity and experimentation keep the brand culturally relevant and emotionally resonant. On being asked why The Arc of Love works as a Valentine’s Day gift, Balar says, “Across Sufi philosophy and timeless traditions, love is understood as a journey, one that unfolds, deepens and transforms over time. This belief became the soul of Fabelle’s The Arc of Love. Further, Fabelle wanted to move beyond a single romantic gesture and instead create an experience that reflects how love truly evolves. As a Valentine’s gift, Fabelle’s ‘The Arc of Love’ allows you to express emotion without words. It’s not just about giving chocolate; it’s about gifting a shared journey”.
Love, Served As A Seven-Course Experience
Extending the idea of love as a journey, Fabelle has also translated The Arc of Love into an exclusive seven-course dining experience, created in collaboration with master chefs at ITC Hotels. Cocoa acts as a subtle yet deliberate thread across both savoury and sweet courses, mirroring the gradual evolution of a relationship. The dining experience will be hosted exclusively on February 14 (Valentine’s Day) at select ITC Hotels restaurants across Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata, offering couples an intimate, cocoa-led culinary journey. Bookings for the same are open now.

“Each course uses cocoa as a subtle but deliberate thread, woven through savoury and sweet expressions, mirroring the evolving stages of love,” Balar explains.
“Just like a relationship, the experience unfolds gradually—moving from lighter, delicate flavours to deeper, more complex notes. Texture, temperature and presentation are carefully choreographed to create a sense of progression. It is meant to be savoured slowly, encouraging conversation, presence and shared emotion,” he adds.
Redefining Experiential Luxury In India
In today’s evolving Indian food landscape, luxury is no longer defined solely by rarity or price. As Balar notes, modern indulgence is rooted in intent, emotion, and meaning. Indian consumers are increasingly discerning—seeking provenance, dark chocolate profiles, layered tasting experiences, and mindful consumption.
This shift has allowed brands like Fabelle to focus on storytelling and emotional resonance, positioning chocolate not just as a gift, but as an experience akin to fine wine or artisanal cheese.
When questioned if the modern Indian consumer is moving towards more experiential luxury, Balar agrees and adds, “Experiential formats are central to how we envision the future of luxury chocolate. Chocolate has always been about sensorial experiences. At Fabelle, every creation has a story of its own, whether we are reimagining globally loved desserts… or translating an abstract idea like the Five Elements of the earth, or the Five Seasons, or the Stages of Love into chocolates, the goal is to capture an emotion or memory in an artistic, unexpected and indulgent way. As consumers increasingly seek meaningful experiences experiential luxury will continue to be an important pillar of Fabelle’s journey.”

With The Arc of Love, Fabelle reinforces its vision of luxury chocolate as something deeply personal. Because like love itself, cocoa reveals its true depth not all at once, but over time.
