A century after perfecting the art of fine carpets, Obeetee enters a new era with the launch of Obeetee Carpets & Home in a landmark expansion that transforms the heritage brand into a full-fledged home décor powerhouse. Evolving from a carpet maker to a curator of holistic living spaces, the brand now extends its craftsmanship into furniture, bedding, cushions, and furnishings, redefining how luxury finds its place at home.

With an investment of over ₹100 crores, Obeetee’s latest venture brings an entire universe of design under one roof, both in stores across India and online. It’s marked by two new collections; a furniture line crafted in solid Indian teak, fusing timeless Indian woodwork with Italian Carrara marble, and featuring brass-plated detailing, along with antique finishes. Each design is available in nine elegant upholstery options and priced between ₹21,000 and ₹3,00,000. Complementing this is a bedding collection that embodies understated indulgence, with 100% cotton percale sheets in six serene hues. The line also features embroidered pillow covers, linen-blend duvets and quilted bedspreads crafted from cotton, chenille, modal, and voile.

This expansion comes at a crucial juncture in India’s interior design landscape. The home décor market, valued at $12.33 billion, is projected to almost double to $24.5 billion by 2030, driven by a rising design consciousness, higher disposable incomes of buyers, and the desire for homes that reflect both personality and purpose. As living spaces become more introspective post-pandemic, transforming into sanctuaries of comfort, beauty, and meaning — Obeetee Carpets & Home stands ready to meet this evolution with authenticity under the vision of Rudra Chatterjee, Chairman, and Angelique Dhama, President.

Earlier this year, the brand captured attention with its Silk Route Collection, a tribute to the legendary trade passage that connected East and West through craft and culture. The line reimagined handwoven rug traditions of Persia, Tibet, Central Asia, and India, with motifs of vine scrolls, medallions, and geometric intricacy. Before that, Obeetee unveiled a flagship store in Ahmedabad, presenting its complete furniture portfolio, from bespoke sofas and statement tables to upholstered pieces and signature carpets spanning Persian, Indo-Turkish, and modern design idioms.
